A month after joining proceedings at our launch party for Sub Club's Nautilus Rising label, Lord of the Isles marks his return on Permanent Vacation with his Clearness of Love EP – a heedless release of four tracks that are easy picks for peaktime on the dancefloor. Club-orientated techno that still remains gentle, heavily steeped in nostalgia: from acid to ambient; and big beat to Balearic. Though perhaps not a blatant choice, the EP's closer "All I Need" is an undeniable highlight – slow-burning, earthly techno with a melody flowing through the bassline that grounds and comforts you all at once. The almost folkloric snippets of the wood flute keeps it reminiscent of Bavarian soundscapes in Recondite's Iffy.

Clearness of Love EP drops on 23rd October via Permanent Vacation.

Emerging German producer @eturusheo supplies a peak-time remix, keeping the vibe of the original whilst taking things up a notch with its disco claps, jazzy swing, sparkling synths and a dancefloor ready bassline.

St Christopher, the patron saint of the traveller. The tale goes that a man used to carry people across a river. One day a child asked to be taken across. Being someone used to carrying people across the river, Christopher was not phased as he put the young boy on his back but as he crossed the river the child grew heavier and heavier.
In a similar way Zorla by Christophe starts off unassuming and deep, much like the waters of the unnamed river of the legend of St Christopher. As the track goes on it gets heavier with acid licks building and building into a heavy acid stomper. But unlike the journey of Saint Christopher, this track isnt too heavy to carry, so we guess that is where the analogy ends.
This on the 6th release from Leeds based DJ Trio Producers/Podcasters all round good eggs Clandestino Records, sees a deep groove which would suit dark rooms and big slick clubs with its hefty reverb and tight percussion which sounds more Chicago than Yorkshire. We suggest you get on this one right away.

KX9000 steps up to deliver a stack of funky and uplifting house grooves found on his 'Kaijū & Features' EP via the quality Blaq Numbers imprint, which includes the disco-tinged dancefloor weapon 'Itusu Waru'.

The 'Kaijū & Features' EP, which also brings on collaborations with Mangabey, Alva and Tour Maubourg, showcases a range of intriguing influences. The material draws from the sound of various Japanese masterminds like Soichi Terada, while also dipping into the French house legacy shaped by Roulé and F Communications. With that, KX9000 brings together a sonic fusion that delivers undeniable dancefloor bliss. 

The 'Kaijū & Features' EP is set for release April 19.

James Bright has quietly been making blissful electronica for over ten years, working in his early days as Lux with Steve Miller where they enjoyed a notable release on Café Del Mar. Now James is one of the names to watch on the modern Balearica scene, turning out highly polished, sparkling downtempo music for a myriad of discerning labels. Not least Quattro Music, where his forthcoming 'Betamax' EP can be found which includes the standout 'Flying Tiger'. Cool bass touches, lazy metallic drums, ethnic chants and the all important loon sound all combine to wow audiences from the Meditteranean to the Adriatic.
