We welcome Volcano on Mars for another visit to Shamanic Tales with a massive remix to "Awake the Snake", Astrix & Tristan's collaboration from Astrix's last album. The original has been causing havoc on dancefloors for quite a few years now and was of the guys' favourite on the album. From a young age, AudioFire has been connected to music, he knew after his first clubbing experience in Bar Do-Me, Cape Town, that being part of the dance music scene was his future. With the 90’s underground scene taking off in South Africa, AudioFire, DJ'd at well established clubs around Cape Town, such as Delight, Nexus, G-spot and The Funktion. The vibe was fresh and left an everlasting impression.

Gaining his first experiences as a club DJ in his hometown, he knew that to develop himself further and take on bigger challenges he would need to go where the music was truly cutting edge, London. It is here that he moved through various genres and grew his network of friends and fans, performing at venues such as, Scala, Mass, Camden Palace, Rocket Club to name a few and held down residencies at the Viaduct in Vauxhall and a small but always packed club in London Bridge.

Not content with settling down just to DJ he decided to take things to the next level and focussed on learning music production at the prestigious Point Blank music academy. After a two year intensive course focused on sound design, composition, engineering, production and the art of mixing, he graduated with a diploma and since then he has been working tirelessly composing tracks, remixes and collaborating with a wide array of artists shaping his characteristic sound. His first two releases featured on an album for Deckajam (an electronica band from UK rave scene and household name Kevin Energy) and his original track "All of the lights" was remixed by the very talented Michael Stonebank Monstercat, A.K.A. Rocket Pimp. Other remixes include, 'Serena Ryder - Stompa' and 'Tibby Young - Dance to the beat'.

Fast forward 20 years to Origin festival, South Africa 2015. As a personal guest of global trance legend Sonic Species, it was here where he fell in love with the PSY Trance scene, from the promoters to the artists, the people and of course the music, he now dedicates his time to writing and producing trance and has created the act we all now know as AudioFire.

Astrix broke into global consciousness in 2002 with his debut album ‘Eye to Eye’, defining him as a trance music anthems producer. The album’s effect was followed in 2005 by the impressive entry to the world's top 100 DJs list of the famous Dj Magazine, where he took the respectful climb to the 18th position in 2007. His third album ‘Red Means Distortion’ was released in 2010 and since then he continues to release many tracks on various compilations and digital EP’s to delighted fans, who according to his Facebook page are over 900,000 and going on strong
