	Zafenate é mistura. Desde os primórdios até hoje em dia. Começou na escola, na apostilaria da mesma escola onde ele estudaria depois; se fez na barriga, cresceu em família, cantando Família, na pequena garagem onde se preparou; na praia, no morro, na terra, no céu, e agora alcança a plataforma supimpa de onde parte a nave-mãe, nesse novo disco voador. Desses 48 anos em que me conheço, Theodoro, conheço há 25 - sou o seu pai, ele é meu filho. E foi justamente como o pai que assiste as aventuras de sua cria, que vi a gênese de toda essa criação, dessa turma cuja criatura se deu nessa música de arte e pura invenção. Acompanho há tantos anos o caminho dessa banda, suas diferentes formações, suas viagens, sua labuta, sua catarse, suas crenças e suas ilusões. Sou além de uma testemunha e um estudioso, sou o maior fã. 
	
	Aquilo que sempre me encanta quando ouço uma música é a surpresa que só contém as supremas revelações. O impacto externo que toca no disco nada rígido que pulsa no pátio interno do coração e gira no inferno da mente estridente sem direção. “Você me deixa louco”. O bem estar que a música sempre me proporcionou se dá quando ela aciona todo o território dos pensamentos dos sentimentos das emoções. Ouvir é se deixar levar pelas ondas invisíveis que vem de fora e que te levam mais pra dentro, pra perto daquilo que você nem mesmo sabe o que é? como foi? onde estou? quem sou?
	
	Esse disco entra na categoria daquilo que chamo de obra-prima. Obra primeira, da realização do improvável, a comprovação de que o imprevisível não é o caos casual aleatório de simples expulsão de vontade. É criação no sentido estrito ou lato de lapidação, de harmonização, de integração, de diferença, de desapego e de liberdade de improvisação. A captação da realidade por uma ótica coletiva que traduz o em torno dentro de um território que não prescinde de geopolítica ou de fronteiras definidas para saber o que é sagrado e tem que ser cuidado. A única lei regente é a do permanente respeito a diversidade - uma sociedade justamente estabelecida pela individuação.
	
	Musicalmente esse disco pertence a linha evolutiva da música-rústica artesanal feita dentro da taba, em tribo; teve início na comunidade rural = genial dos Novos Baianos e que depois seguiu os passos da democranarquia dos Titãs. Um cozido de raízes de legumes de carnes da cor do arco-íris das aves-de-escama e dos peixes-de-penas servidos num domingo de sol e chuva. Eu sou um homem suscetível, pronto pra me apaixonar por melodias. Esse disco é um banquete, uma mesa farta onde estão servidas uma saborosa dezena delas. Indefinível o gênero, mas eu não saberia falar do que trata o Zafenate, se soubesse pensar nesses termos – graças a deus! Fusão de gêneros, extinção dos gêneros, como sempre defendi e procuro ebulir dentro de mim, no que sou e no que faço : “Sou homem/sou mulher”. Reggae toada embolada tecno-brega chorinho dub balada rap cantilenas – o que importa? Quem sabe dizer onde começa um e termina o outro? Quando todos estão misturados em entendimento comprometimento sem catequese messiânica ou assistencialismo nutrido em caridade. O diamante é o cascalho que se esconde na aparente sujeira; e aí… é a maior beleza quando resplandece.
	
	Esse disco é irresistível, fez comigo aquilo que eu mais gosto que a música faça: vontade de ouvir ouvir ouvir ouvir e continuar reouvindo. Nyabingui, Candomblé, Kardecismo, Procissão? Quem são os padrinhos? Bob Marley e Calypso, só pra ficar num par. 

	Já falei que sou pai de Theodoro, mas trato todos de “meus filhos”. Theo, Ciola, Robson, Fábio, Rafinha, Denizard e Ana Flor. O 7 de Ouros é conhecido como o 7 belo. 	Mas já foram mais que oito. Outros integrantes passaram e estão presentes no som da banda, permanecem as suas reverberações. Assisti nesses oito anos o som que era som de banda de meninos; no começo patinavam em voluptuosa ignorância com resultados pífios; atravessaram o túnel escuro da adolescência que só a força sobrenatural dos hormônios animais explica; até desaguarem nessa primeira etapa de sua vida adulta, com beleza e sutileza absurda. Competentes como indigentes sobreviventes, repletos de consciência cósmica sub e sobrenatural. (embora eu traga a certeza de que eles serão eternamente inocentes como as crianças-tão-velhas, como bem definiu Ismael ao conhecer sua tia Maria Luíza). Não digo isso apenas por mim, pois tenho essa condição inseparável e privilegiada de ser pai e padrinho. Acho que isso se tornará, agora, visível à todos, a qualquer um que os ouça. E como um homem que sempre se cercou do anonimato conjuntural que constrói uma banda, não posso deixar de citar que o resultado desse disco passa pelas mãos talentosíssimas e familiares de Fernando “Jangadeiro” Nunes , que produziu o disco e botou a cambada na estrada deliciosa do futuro; e da mixagem inacreditável e transcendental do genial Evaldo Luna. E ainda mais… saindo de dentro da Cornucópia!

mas num dá pra mim não.
