Ramrock Records launch their new Balearic/Jazz label Ramrock Red with ‘Lazy Bones’ by Future Unit.  London based composer and producer Remy Felix Vas aka Future Unit, saw his vinyl debuts released on the highly boutique and influential Porn Wax and Tusk Wax labels in 2016.

‘Lazy Bones’ will be Future Unit’s third release.  It started with Bill Brewster playing it on his weekly podcast and next THE Ashley Beedle is shouting its Balearic brilliance from the twitter rooftops! 

The original combines an insistent 70’s Italian library music inspired hook with crunchy beats and cosmic synths.  Paired with slacker lyrics, it’s your unofficial alternative summer soundtrack; baggy guitars, eclectic electronica, loose, uplifting sounds, fat, acid basslines and insistent, earworm melodies. 

Remixes come from three highly respected remixers, all drawn to the original through social media word of mouth. 

Iberian edits supremo James Rod takes the lazy hazy beats of the original, plumps and pumps them, adds in washes of reverb, bubbly synths and a general feeling of mañana! 
No introductions needed for Ashley Beedle who takes the playfulness of the original vocal and adds a nice thick slice of deft Rhodes work and funk drumming. The outcome? A lazy day in 70’s San-Fran, looking at the Golden Gate bridge through an acid haze! 
Rubberlips' remix takes the original into big soundscape territory recalling Manc legends World Of Twist. The laid back vibe of the original is taken to a sun lounger for a cocktail and a psychedelic or two with added bass from Randy Martin.

The original and all remixes will be available both digitally and on limited edition vinyl (though huge initial interest means a possible repress) through Ramrock Red Records.

As the nights draw in and the temperature drops, eclectics return with a brace of winter warmers, courtesy of James Rod, both of which are packing enough heat to keep us cosy until the clocks go forward. 

Boarder Pass is cosmic disco with a casual nod to Norway in the loose-limbed stomp as the bass and drums rise and fall into place with calm confidence. 

The synth sound is so warm it's like they've been rendered in pastels by a man in a sweater by an open fire. There's no soporific after effect though, the high arpeggios and throbbing bass see to that. This tune is headed for the dance floor, it's just sorting out the underfloor heating first. 

"Back to Casiopea" shares similar feel, but with the urgency turned up. Shards of guitar ricochet off the glacier walls provided by the synths, which give us a structure that's familiar yet unknown - like finding an outtake of Patrick Cowley producing Tangerine Dream or digging out an hitherto unseen John Carpenter project and realising that it has a previously unheard soundtrack to kill for. 

In fact, Cowley and Carpenter are key touchstones. There's a live feel to these tracks that accentuates the human element. This may be machine music on first reading, but it oozes soul, bleeds spirit, and that comes from a composer who understands perfectly how to place himself at the centre of it all. -Jah Shabby

JAMES ROD - Back To Casiopea Clip

Sixth reference by the Spanish artist K-Effect, with other two productions of cutting Chuggin´, where the energy of the artist is reflected in his impeccable technique and a recognizable sound from the first beat. The first cut that gives title to the Ep is a production that rides between disk and electro, creating an ode to the hidden pleasures of the dance floor, thanks to a vocal sexy and thorough arpeggios, which are mixed in an amalgam of small notes of piano creating a perfect atmosphere in this track. 

This comes accompanied from the remixes of the Uruguayan Fernando Lagreca, which marks an electronic allegation intimate, maintaining the same rate of the original, edulcurando an elegant melody, key to the famous DX7. Adding unn sound more brilliant and persuasive to low combustion, capable of evoking the best sunset of a Balinese beach. 

Moo Moonster Madrid, is responsible for signing the second remix of the track "Spy in Love", extolling the part more discoid original. A remix where the forcefulness of the arpeggio, rides for all production, combined with worthy of the footballer Nile Rodgers-guitars, synthesizers similar flavor and cosmic pads in a fun and endless track, straight to the dance floor 

The second track called "Let´s rock" continuous English sound more slow, where great guitar riffs, go hand in hand together with other more industrial and raw, in a powerful essay flavored, perfectly balanced, inside that tunnel where echoes the EBM brighter. 

This features the remix of the French artist Yann Aubertot a.k.a. Monoblok, creating a piece with a dark, energetic and bright sound with atmospheric where electric guitars with spaces and worthy of the great sound post punt cadences, fill a remix palpable feeling worthy of Gothic cinema. An exquisite production to close with a flourish Ep.
