'Ante Mare Undae' is the motto of the House of Rochechouart (Latin contraction of 'Avant que la mer fût au monde, Rochechouart portait les ondes' / 'Before the sea was in the world, Rochechouart carried the waves').

Madame de Montespan, the Sun King's great love and mistress, belonged to this very old French family. They regularly met up at the former ‘Porcelain Trianon’ located in the royal estate of Versailles, a place renowned for its marvellous gardens.

Second track of my album 'Generative Stills'. This album was created by programming generative compositions, which were 'recorded' - and so fact made 'ungenerative' - and used as a starting point for this record (GS1, GS2, and GS3). Snapshots of generative music, one could say. Hence the title 'Generative Stills'. In between are two regular recordings (IN1 and IN2).
