Starwalker is the musical congregation of two electro-pop innovators—namely Jean-Benoit Dunckel [Air, Tomorrow’s World, Darkel] and Bardi Johannsson [Bang Gang, Lady & Bird]. The 2014 EP, Losers Can Win, properly introduced their singular sound to the masses with much aplomb. Noisey, Stereogum, Spin, Huffington Post and more offered glowing praise. Finding a break in their respective schedules, they recorded Starwalker’s full-length debut that blasts off to a new universe where cinematic soundscapes seamlessly intermingle with unshakable melodies. It’s a trip you’ll want to take again and again.

Originally Moscow-based record label Incompetence Records — now moved to Tel Aviv — created by the Interchain duo of Jenya Gorbunov (ГШ, Inturist) and Andrey Lee (Obgon), sees a new revival. Started in 2013 as a techno label with an individual approach to the conventional genre, Incompetence released first records of PTU, Obgon, Ewan Limb, Interchain, Dem Leedz — musicians, taking an active part in the development of the domestic electronic scene. 

Today Incompetence is not focused on club music anymore and expands its genre borders, but is still laying stress on an individual, conceptual approach. From now on the label will release music, growing from both the mass culture and academical, artistic environment. Every musician and every release  creates its own genre, its own system of axis and principles. Incompetence treats its releases as artistic works of the musicians and musical projects of the artists, having no intention to serve existing genre institutions.

Incompetence’s also planning some new series of the label parties, concerts, happenings, video streamings, as well as collaborations and compilations curated by the label owners.
