Drifting Embers is PETRU’s latest release: a hypnotic, mysterious techno journey into the night, capturing the moment we become night creatures, unleashing our untamed spirit as dusk settles, evoking fleeting bursts of light breaking away from the flames, racing into the open night.

Driving acid lines and grounding bass, the main title brings confidence to the dancefloor while 90s-inspired chords trigger raver’s trance-like state balancing darkness with playfulness.

On remix duty, techno veteran Alexander Kowalski delivers a fresh, dark but hopeful rework rich in texture and dynamic tension; while Ross Harper flips the energy with a playful, 909-driven remix that infuses the track with happy-crazy vibes and infectious rhythms.

Closing the EP, Prelude to Embers offers a cinematic, atmospheric journey perfect for reflection, while Drone to Embers provides a meditative soundscape for deep introspection.

PETRU is a Corsican-born producer and live performer with a love for bold, driving techno and storytelling. Blending rhythmic precision with a strong sense of narrative and contrast, his music evokes both physical intensity and cinematic depth.

Rooted in hands-on, expressive, hardware-centric production, PETRU was awarded with the Richie Hawtin PhD Scholarship in Electronic Music for his ongoing research into real-time and improvisational performance.

After drawing attention with his debut KSS EP, PETRU released Mirage EP (City Wall Records) and Mediocracy EP (Kolibri Space Shuttle Records), both receiving great acclaim. His new release, Drifting Embers EP, directly continues the Mirage series with a hypnotic and mysterious take on techno that explores untamed freedom at dusk.

Asylum is Thodoris Anastasiou from Nafplio.
He began writing artistic music in 1999, and in 2002, he also started creating electronic music using his first programs. In his early years, he explored the rhythm of uplifting trance.  In 2004 Floodlight was officially released, and in 2005, was officially released the Deadstorm  .  The year  2007, that journey, during which he gained his first hands-on lessons, came to an end.
The year 2024 ,November ,marks the time when he acquired all the necessary tools to express himself and unleash his potential!
His new career begins with his latest track, "Harmonic Drops," and the full-on track "Dreamscape."
 In the future, we can expect to hear enchanting sounds with melodies that will break boundaries!
