Deconstructed and disintegrated becomes energy and evolution. So the cycle continues, endlessly. Our next guest, Golden Medusa (aka Lara Golz), has managed to embody this process musically, a suitable tribute for our current moment. Known for her beguilingly ingenious sets as a resident of Leisure System and Refuge Worldwide, Lara's artistic trajectory has developed concurrently with the eclectic and unpredictable undertow of the Berlin music scene. Since the beginning of her career in 2016, she has made regular appearances at Berghain, OHM, and notorious events like Herrensauna and Atonal Festival. However, it wasn't until we invited her to play at the Ambientgarden events we did in collaboration with Staub at ://about blank in 2020 that we discovered the extent of her ambient ambitions. Here Lara shows us again that she can plunge into the depths, providing us with a two-hour mix of oceanic inoculation.

On a déjà lu que sa musique était sombre et froide. Elle est aussi belle et subtile. Le producteur Clarence Rise a su développer une identité musicale forte, intense et singulière, où la techno incisive se mêle aux atmosphères glaciales de la coldwave. D’aucuns caractérisent son œuvre d’électronique cinématique ou de “cold techno”, faisant la part belle aux rythmiques complexes, au sound design ténébreux et à la mélancolie contemplative. Auteur de nombreuses sorties sur différents labels (Khoros Records, Chez KitoKat, Bella Ursa, Spazio Magnetico...), ce DJ et artiste Live fait de ses shows de vrais voyages, aussi percutants qu’introspectifs

Utopian is bringing a bloomy selection of left field sounds, stiching them together to come up with an eclectic journey. 

ARTIST'S BIO:
"Utopian is Isidro Bolívar’s moniker. He was born in the south of Spain and from an early age he always had a soft spot for introspective music, no matter if it was floor-oriented or home-listening. As a Dj he takes hypnotism as the foundations of his craft, although, his sets can take many shapes, tribal, deep, minimal or melodic depending on the mood.
A few years ago, he discovered a new wave of Italian techno musicians like Donato Dozzy and especially Marco Shuttle which was a life-changing moment for him. This would define his technique, dj skills and mindset. Focusing on a more progressive based built up and smooth transitions. Musically speaking Utopian keeps an open eye on new releases but also on old hidden gems and will play them within the same set as long as the music pairs harmonically and respect the timeless quality of techno aesthetics.
He played a few gigs at Alpenglühen, a notorious forward-thinking techno night run by the internationally respected F-ON in Madrid. 
He closing set at Calma festival (Madrid) this time with a more tribal-ambient approach to a crowd sitting and completely immersed in music. More  recently he played at perpendicular fest and the mythical club of southern Spain industrial copera.
Apart from being a Dj, Isidro was an active promoter while living in Madrid. Confessed digger and record collector and currently experimenting with music in the studio. He also recently created a space for local artists to express themselves by performing through ambient and immersive techno streaming sessions, his name is "espacio ingrávido".
Utopian was asked to play several guests mix for international big names like Campfire (Silent Season), Oslated or Monument. 
He currently lives in Granada, in the south of Spain. There he has formed a collective with his partners and friends Fran Acosta and Kaizen (Antonio Moreno), their name is Klub Collective, and they have invited great national and international artists such as Acronym, Estrato Aurora or Cobahn"

Looking to create warm and energetic atmospheres, @toe_music likes to make you travel into a psychedelic world where music becomes a spirit of its own. She is the mother of the music and visual arts projects @ouroboros-crew and @ewo_collectif.

For this episode, she took inspiration from the Yacurunas, a mythological aquatic people of the Amazon basin living in beautiful underwater cities. The Yacurunas, found primarily in the oral traditions of indigenous tribes, are said to take many different forms, from hairy humans with an upturned head and deformed feet, to the famous Amazonian pink dolphins ... They are usually described as being shapeshifters, capable of taking human form to lure their victims into their clutches, be they fishermen, husbands, or young women... 
Despite the kidnappings, the Yacurunas are generally not considered to be evil. They are incredibly talented healers, and shamans often consult them for advice and remedies.

Chapter I

Passing by the river, you can hear some strange voices. They are appealing. Your fear is overtaken by curiosity. You remember you heard stories about this legend of the people of water, they are spirits protecting the water, they don’t like humans, you know they drown them into the depths of the water. But you can’t stop and you are walking toward these voices. and the more you approach the less you can hear them, maybe the voices are too deep into the water. So you wait patiently. And the more you look at the surface of the river, the more you are absorbed by it. Now your mind is completely hypnotized. You can see them, these beautiful and scary creatures, the Yacurunas, and you fall into the depths of the river.

Chapter II

Now that you are with them, there is no way out. Just accept and your body starts to move, turning into a watery dance. You realize that you can be part of them, just by letting go. They are accepting you the more you accept them, they teach you how to just go with the flow. Feel the vibrations of the water but also of the whole life who started from this world. You can now come back, they are allowing you to return to the human world. And from this moment, you will always remember that the source of life is the water.

Having started our musical journey in the early 2000s, we have gained many years of experience in DJing and production in all kinds of various genres including drum'n'bass, techno and ambient. This has been followed by our decision to create the Asyncronous project to materialise our ideas, preferences and skills into music.

Our first EP "The Art Of Fighting In A Dream" was released in 2019 on Slow Life. While working on it, we formed a common vision, moving on the brink of different genres and hybrid experiments with styles that influenced us. 

This was followed by "Pangaea Nova" which came out in 2020 on Phonica Records Special Editions, revealing new aspects of sound and expanding the horizons of Asyncronous perception. Getting constantly inspired by human imagination, nature of mindsets and life experiences, we're laying the foundations for the next releases, live performances and other manifestations in various forms.
