A precursor to Astral Projection, SFX (abbreviation of sound effects), was formed in Israel in 1989 and originally consisted of Avi Nissim and Lior Perlmutter. They released a hit single in 1991 named Monster Mania, which prompted them to start working on an album. Work was halted when they decided to travel to New York and try their luck there. While Avi soon went back home, Lior stayed in the USA and in 1992 released the single JBIE. In 1993, with Lior still in the US, Avi teamed up with Yaniv Haviv and Guy Sabbag and they released the single Another World. In early 1994, Lior returned to Israel to work on his own material with the rest of the members under their new label Trust in Trance. Their album Trust in Trance 2 reached number two on Israel best selling album chart.[3] After this release, Guy decided to leave the group and the remaining members eventually changed their name to Astral Projection. In 1995 they opened their own professional sound studio.[4]
They have produced nine albums, some of them reaching positions on best selling album charts abroad.[5] The most recent album is 'Ten' which was released in 2004. Astral Projection have not released an album since 2004, though they have released several singles since then.
Astral Projection's most well known tracks include hits such as “Kabalah”, “People Can Fly”, “Mahadeva” and “Dancing Galaxy” to name but a few.
Astral Projection's tracks “Open Society”, “The Prophecy”, "One" and "Strange World" were greeted enthusiastically by Goa and Psychedelic trance fans. The release of their EP Open Society was pushed back first from January 2008 to September 2008, then from September 2008 to simply "2009", and then from 2009 to simply "2010". After the September 2008 delay, Astral Projection's website attributed this to a dispute with B.N.E., the label which they originally had agreed to release the album. The EP was finally released by Trust in Trance Records on September 7, 2010.[6]
On February 10, 2010, the New Astral Store opened on Astral Projection's website, making virtually all of their music available for a download fee in mp3 or wav format.
Their new EP, One, was released June 12, 2012 on TIP Records.

We have a superhuman element within us, as this is the deepest “Adhthaytma” or “Gurudev” in us. That is God present within us. 
Thus the moniker “Gurudev” 

He started dj-ing in the year 2009, his love for psychedelic music and the association of it with a higher perspective with spiritual knowledge, is what made him immerse himself in the world of “Psychedelic Trance.” Apart from his music skills, he was also in search for something radically different, and co-formed a décor company called “ Sangachadwam” in the year 2012,along with his friends. They have organized the décor for some of the most memorable, indoor and outdoor parties, across India. He wanted to showcase his love for art and not just music. 

Gurudev’s style ranges from progressive to full-on psytrance. His energy behind the decks is simply splendid; his enthusiasm for psy-trance music remains instrumental in the development of the scene. 
Gurudev has played alongside some of the most eminent artists, like Liquid Soul, Outsiders, Born Sleepy, Sesto Sento, Atriohm, U-Recken, Block Device, Illumination, Bionix, Mad Maxx, Tersius, Fungus Funk, Wild Monkeys, Loud, Shiva-George, Which Doctor, Highstyle, Z-Cat and many more. 
His versatility has gained him a good reputation in the Psy-Trance scene. 
His love for ‘spirituality’ ‘music’ and ‘art’ has shunned the path of convention in an effort to re-create something significant and different. His music influences include Avalon, Ace Ventura, U-Recken, Tristan, Liquid Soul, Ajja, Burnin Noise, Sonic Species, Vertical Mode, Outsiders, Kim, Nukleal, Yarzaa, Shivatree, Laughing Buddha, Side Effects, Aphid Moon. 

He has a great nature of love & lives upon beliefs and values, which spread love, happiness and peace to this world. A nature lover and all finer things of life and beauties of nature is an inspiration to him. He is happy grooving or carving up the main room with his art and music. He continues to push musical styles wherever he plays creating a mix that never fails to leave people locked in the groove. Gurudev’s music is a progression, an evolution into where the Psychedelic Trance was already in and the boundaries it continues to conquer.

Spiral was written with Lifeforms in the course of 3 months. During the process of writing the track, We've used some cool vintage synthesizers to create it; From the legendary "Roland SH-101", to a "Moog The Rogue", Among other sweet little bundles on analog joy.
The track really came together after we found an interview with Raja Ram (The ultimate psychedelic legend) on Youtube. The sample brought light, depth and the last final piece to complete the track.
