The energy of the opening track “Bat Shit”, a collaboration with C.Vogt, gives you a pleasant kick in the shins and absolutely lives up to its name. Pure bonkers.

Up next is “Versace Silk Shirt”, a smooth bassline groove, perfect for outdoor parties – imagine that moment when the sun sinks into the ocean, the heat of the day begins to fade and the cool of the night slowly seeps in.
Time to dress up and put on some cologne.

Track three, which is called “Abandonne-toi (Ft. JAW & AVRA)”, is the most emotional piece of the record, and a collaborative effort by Butch, JAW and AVRA. The latter two sing a beautiful duet over the ethereal soundscapes. Think slow-motion-space-rave-opera.

And closing off is title track “Butch Loves You (Ft. Shawnecy)”. Who said electronic artists shouldn’t dabble in R’n’B? Butch and Shawnecy are proof of concept. Toy piano and falsetto vibes all day."""

ARTIST FO THE WEEK: BONNIE SPACEY

Inspired by the musical curiosity of her guitarist father, who never ceased rocking her with Jimmy Hendrix, she perfected her musical culture by practicing guitar and the piano for years.
It is at the turn of a live of Miss Kittin and The Hacker that she discovers electronic music in at the beginning of the millenium: it is love at first sight.
For 10 years, she skims the dancefloors of many European clubs and festivals and it is finally in 2015 that she goes behind the decks for the first time. Producing music was the next step and it’s finally out in 2019.
After being interested in several styles, her music is now focus somewhere between dark disco and techno.
She’s also the founder of Critical Monday @criticalmondayrecords: an independent electronic music label somewhere between rock and techno, definitely club orientated
