On Imitated Frost Fort Meditations

This is a remaster of a song I wrote and recorded about 10 years ago.
I had a discussion(argument) with my teenage daughter and, when I reflected on it, I realised that the things we said replicated similar discussions with my parents when I was a teenager. The song is from my daughter's (and my younger self's) perspective. She loved Green Day so I wrote it in that style and even borrowed her Mike Dirnt bass to play it.
She said " Yeah, that's alright dad"

Down on the Farm

Verse 1:
Making animal sounds
Can be so fun
You just listen and imitate what you hear
Down on the farm
There are so many sounds
Some can be so fun
And others so funny

Pigs and cows go oink and moo
Duck go quack and chicken go cluck
The dog barks
The cat meows
And we all go hurray

Verse 2:
Have you ever been on a farm
You get up early and spin a yarn
Feed the pigs and milk the cows
Then you head over to the chicken house
Look around and find some eggs
Maybe look for some plumb ole legs
Then you head to the grand ole kitchen
And every one begins to pitch in
A great breakfast will soon be had
Grab a seat at the front is dad

Verse 3:
Then you move and the real work begins
Do your chores so the whole house  wins
Go out and check the fences
Mend some with a little expenses
Help each other when needed
Check on fields that have been seeded
The cat and dog have tasks to complete
When hey are done they get a special treat
