Having been available exclusively as the second disc to 2015's 'Collaborative Works', Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm's improvised audio recordings 'Trance Frendz', taken from their 45-minute studio film of the same name, have been given their own vinyl release – out March 4th, 2016.

Prior to a string of collaborative Erased Tapes releases, which include 2012's 'Stare' 10” and last year’s 'Life Story Love and Glory' 7” and 'Loon' 12” – compiled on the 'Collaborative Works' 2-CD set, Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm spent many hours together in their studios across Berlin and Reykjavik. Both have carved out genre-defying musical careers and formed unique live shows, creating a fan base loyal to their prolific output.

During a session at Durton Studio in Berlin last summer, Nils and Ólafur invited Alexander Schneider and his camera to document it. The recording continued long after the first take, stretching out into the next day until, eventually, several new improvisations had been recorded in 8 hours with no overdubs or edits. The unexpected nature in which these pieces had been created was reminiscent of their first on-stage improvisation many years ago. It became immediately clear how special these songs were.

Originally made available as a 45-minute film on their joint website (www.arnaldsfrahm.com) last September, 'Trance Frendz' will be available to own on vinyl from March 4th, 2016.

Barcelona based piano player and electronic musician Bruno Sanfilippo is a classically trained musician and composer who has been exploring the borders of minimal piano concepts and electro-acoustic music for more than 20 years. His CD series "Piano Textures“ sets him in a direct tradition of artists as Harold Budd and Brian Eno, combining slow piano tunes with electronic soundscapes. With "ClarOscuro“, he now makes his step into the genre of modern classical music by presenting his first composition work for piano trio. Most of the nine tracks on the album feature Sanfilippo accompanied by Spanish musicians Manuel del Fresno on Violoncello and Pere Bardagí on Violin, while some of the tracks still let the sensitive piano playing stand on its own. With the fragility and beauty of some Arvo Pärt compositions and a high cinematic touch, "ClarOscuro" brings the perfect soundtrack for an imaginary movie.

موسیقى متن فیلم «خیلى دور، خیلى نزدیك» ساخته محمدرضا علیقلى برنده سیمرغ بلورین بهترین آهنگساز در بیست و سومین جشنواره فیلم فجر و یكى از بهترین كارهاى چند سال اخیر سینماى ایران در زمینه آهنگسازى فیلم است. موسیقى اى كه برخلاف گفته كاراكتر روحانى فیلم نه تنها روى مغز و اعصاب تماشاچى راه نمى رود بلكه گوش و ذهن او را نوازش مى كند و به خوبى در خدمت داستان و فضاى فیلم قرار دارد. «خیلى دور، خیلى نزدیك» یك فیلم جاده اى و داراى یك شخصیت محورى است. دكتر عالم (مسعود رایگان) در طول گذر از كویر با آدم هایى روبه رو مى شود كه هر یك اثرى بر او مى گذارند و مى روند. فیلم به جز اینها دو شخصیت محورى دیگر دارد كه هیچ گاه دیده نمى شوند، اما در سراسر فیلم در ذهن تماشاگر حضور دارند، یكى سامان پسر دكتر عالم و دیگرى موسیقى فیلم! موسیقى در «خیلى دور، خیلى نزدیك» دقیقاً به مثابه یكى از كاراكترهاى فیلم ایفاى نقش مى كند، چرا كه موضوع و داستان فیلم متافیزیكى و معنوى است و كارگردان و آهنگساز با هوشمندى و ظرافت از این هنر آسمانى در صحنه هاى فیلم استفاده كرده اند.
