An original song haphazardly recorded using instruments I don't play often (namely, keyboards and vocals)(the piano took literally hours). I'm not much of a singer, but I'm trying to share some of my music more often.

I Once Was A Selfish Lover Extended Version

This song had the working title "The Strangest Mixes" for a while, as it explores the dichotomy between the participants in every relationship. The first part is some proper 4/4 rock to indicate modern fast-paced living; the second is ethereal, with elements of religious music flitting in and out to indicate our spiritual nature.

I wrote this song in December 2015, around 6 weeks before I went on my big trip to New Zealand. I had watched the 6 Star Wars movies back to back, and stayed up for 24 hours to do it (8am-8am). I slept for a few hours and was up for the whole day, and I wrote this song that night after severe sleep deprivation!!! It was 14 months later before I had the guts to record it, and I just came up with the backing harmonies for it on the day!
