The Columns and Culture: Limestone County Antebellum Trail is a driving/walking trail that winds through Athens, Belle Mina and Mooresville highlighting select homes and structures of the post-Civil War period.  

​Visitors are welcome to step inside the Mooresville Post Office, George S Houston Memorial Library and Museum, Athens State University, and the community churches during hours of operation.   All other properties are privately held and respectfully request visitors stay to sidewalks and streets and refrain from entering.

Brochures can be found at the Athens-Limestone Visitors Center 100 North Beaty Street in Athens.

Please note that some of the directions might be outdated. The streets will be the same, but the modern shops, etc used as route markers might be renamed.
