Finding your sound as a musician is a long and hard journey. We have been making music together for almost 10 years now, whether it was with our garage rock band or as music producers. We have experimented with everything from dubstep to moombahton and after years of searching we think we are starting  to get close to finding our true sound. That is what Explorers is about. I've looked up to Flux Pavilion's music for a very long time. Some of his earliest work is what inspired me to take production more seriously myself, so to be able to create with him is something I've always dreamed of. After we played our first show together, the Zeds dead guys and I really wanted to do a track together. They sent me a few ideas and the chord progression for this track really stood out to me and I immediately wrote some ideas for vocal chops and arrangement. A few months later we met up in LA and got in the studio to lock in the main idea and find a vocal. I originally pictured a track between us to be a bit heavier, but once we wrote these melodies and vocal chops I really fell in love with the emotion of the track.
