How can one create space for the absent by the presence of sound? Christiane Hommelsheim sings and plays on sound objects, Ralf Haarmann electronics and mandoline. With a central interest in loops, they create intertwined acoustic layers.

Clockwork

This is track that I have been working on which is inspired the landscape of the Scottish West coast. In Scotland, we call the mist and cloud that hovers over the coast, "Haar".  This often burns away as the day goes on, but none-the-less, brings about a cool and refreshing feel in the morning. I've called it a demo, as I'm still undecided about the structure and whether to isolate single textures and build up the piece more gradually.  I also need to get professionally mixed! Hope you enjoy :)
