Premiere: CYRK - Needler

One of Italy’s finest techno exports Raffaele Attanasio releases his first EP in two years as he heads to SHDW & Obscure Shape’s Mutual Rytm for his ‘Quasar’ EP. We premiere ‘Axial Inclination’ a straight rolling techno groove that pays homage to his home of Naples, while showcasing his love for high-octane tools.

A product of Naples’ rich techno history, Italian DJ, producer and musician Raffaele Attanasio is an artist who represents the city’s iconic sound while drawing from influences across the Atlantic and the genre’s home of Detroit. Garnering plaudits from artists including Jeff Mills, Len Faki and Ben Sims, while releasing on Mills’ Axis alongside Non Series, Third Wave Black, and his own Letter From Jerusalem imprint.

Attanasio’s eclectic sound now delves into Italian techno of the early 2000s as he makes his label debut on Mutual Rytm – revealing his first EP in over two years and showcasing a new side to his sound with ‘Quasar’.

We premiere ‘Axial Inclination’ which see’s Attansio utilising jittering drums and slinking bass to keep the energy levels rolling. This showcases the Italians range as he throws his hands at tool driven techno, with mechanical and forward thinking intent.

ANNĒ shouldn’t need an introduction at this point. In recent years, the Greek producer and DJ from Thessaloniki has made a name for herself with releases on Hardgroove, Out of Place, Soma and Symbolism, among others. Moreover, she has been featured on several high profile VAs, a track on Amelie Lens’s ‘Global Underground’ mix being the latest addition to her prolific discography

Her sound heavily draws on the driving energy and minimalism of 90s and early 2000s techno, as well as Detroit techno. Her 6-track EP ‘Trinity’ on Life In Patterns both showcases her signature DJ tool style sound and a more introspective, meditative side, making it a perfect fit for the Paris based label. We are super excited to present ANNĒ’s very first solo vinyl EP, coming in a hand-stamped design, and are very much looking forward to its highly anticipated release on 10 February 2023.

Behind the name of Atix, do not look for a style but rather a sound or a musical philosophy. His secret ingredients? Sounds influenced by Detroit and Berlin as well as sounds from across the Channel but especially his House Electro Techno "musical touch"! 

Atix does not only produce artists : he is a performer and warmly shares his musical universe during his lives and DJ sets. He is musically open, just like his productions. The best French electronic scene spots have already welcomed him. His main objective: to move the dancefloor and share his pleasure!

In 2013 ,Atix’s career accelerated and his productions increased tremendously on various labels such as Trashz Recordz Circuit Freq, as well as one of the biggest Bass Music label LOT49 with his Bass Brawl Ep. Early 2014, he signed on CRUX label New Yorker and ... absolute must .... in Spring 2014, BOYS NOIZE produced him on its label BNR TRAX! His title, Drop Zone, praised by international artists & labels, reached the top of the top selling of the label for several months!
