Here's my live set from today's The Saturday Transmission show on Orbital Radio, Sydney. Thanks so much to Jack and Collin, i.e Kforblack, for giving me the chance to give my new set a run-out. There was a mix of some older tunes and some brand new ones, plus a good dose of spontaneity - I hope you enjoy it!

Here's my live set from a couple of weekends ago on Sphere Radio in Leipzig. I had an absolute blast at Sphere and really enjoyed playing some tunes there. 

There are a couple of reworks of older tunes in the mix and some newer stuff in there as well.

Recorded Live from my kitchen a couple of weeks ago, this set with live vocals looks to capture the essence of the set I've been playing around Berlin and Brandenburg all summer! Of course, I forgot to record any of them, so I thought this was the next best thing. Thanks to everyone who booked me, danced with me or helped me cart my live set around - it was an absolute pleasure and a lot of fun :)

End of Summer Live Set | Raised by Puritans with LIVE Vocals

This track went through many different iterations as part of my live set over a couple of years. I played around with various BPMs and arrangements until finally a mixture of a more driving rhythm section, twinned with ethereal, swirling synth lines began to appear. I began to really delve into how much I could achieve with limited material, but more processing and the result is Azure. 

Once my wonderful friend Anna-Lena gave me the incredible photograph which is now the cover, the aesthetic for the song seemed complete.

Azure

FM is the result of how quickly an idea can come together when you follow your intuition. The main riff came out of an Ableton session while trying out the (then) new FM module - I created the melody by modulating the pitch knob, because I got irritated that you couldn't play it via midi! I added some distortion and Ableton's Filter Delay and the rest of the track built itself around that.

The track was only ever meant as material for a mixing lesson from Conor Dalton (who creates my amazing masters), but after mixing it with him and getting the master included, I loved how it sounded, and so it's getting a release!

I hope you enjoy it - I also love playing it in my live set, so maybe see you on a dancefloor somewhere soon!

My wonderful friends from the Berlin band Ice Dream Social asked me to remix their stand-out single 'Fire' a while back, an offer that I was extremely grateful for and to which I emphatically said yes!

Composing the remix was quite a process, though. It's the first official remix that I've ever done and trying to navigate that process was at times a great experience, but also at times hung me out to dry emotionally - which I hadn't seen coming. It exposed my tendency towards self-doubt and struggling to connect with a project when I'm daunted by what I perceive to be expectations riding on it.

After a couple of dead-ends and some great constructive conversations with the band, I finally hit my stride, and with Conor at Glowcast giving me some mix guidance and doing his usual magic at the mastering stage I can present to you a remix I'm proud of :)
