Il signe merveilles sur merveilles sur de très beaux label avec qui l'on collabore régulièrement: Chapter 24, Selador, Connaisseur, Sincopat... Premiere release sur Manual Music, et pas des moindre: On se délecte de 'Siege Of Syracuse', avant la sortie prévu dans 4 jours :)

This is the second release of the day and we are glad to receive the English producer we love a lot here: Jobe ! As always, he signes marvelous tracks on gorgeous labels with which we are used to work with: Chapter 24, Selador, Connaisseur, Sincopat... And here is the first release on Manual Music, which sounds awesome ! you can take a look at "Siege of Syracuse" here before its official release date in 4 days !

For the 19th ATLANT opus we head to Italy as our grand tour traverses the southern Apulia region via Toscana to you bring Glowal, the exciting brainchild of Fabio Giannelli & Alessandro Gasperini. Glowal present an uncompromising underground sound, with nods to techno but still with a big focus on melodic elements to create the exciting sounds of tomorrow.

Lead cut ‘Divisions Control’ starts with a familiar 4/4 beat lulling you into a false sense of security as Glowal take you on a thrilling ride into unchartered waters. Early on the track thrashes and wrestles with you, as floating arp lines and intermittent explosions of sub-bass give the sense that something truly special is to come. From nowhere the most beautiful celestial synth lines fill the room with warmth and a sense of spiritually, only for you to be shaken out of your brief trance to seek cover as the thunderous overhead technoid attack continues.

By contrast devastating stomper ‘Colony’ takes aim firmly at the dance-floor with a tribal influenced groove and infectious narrative about the ‘system’ that, once heard, will be firmly implanted in your memory. Expect to hear this one all summer long!

This pair of tracks have been stealthy little weapons in ATLANT impresario BOg’s record box ever since we received the unmastered demos back in February. The music was signed on first play and has formed an integral part of BOg’s sets across the globe, getting a massive crowd reaction every time. Now the secret is out there.

Glowal

Glowal is a new project by Fabio Giannelli & Alessandro Gasperini. The duo first appeared earlier this year on Suara’s Headliners of Tomorrow with ‘Germinal’. This was followed up recently as ‘Flowers On Tears’ graced the Siamese Anthology II.

Fabio has released music this past decade on the likes of Innvervisions, Suara, Get Physical, Kindisch and Off Recordings. Alessandro will be familiar under his Kedra identity, with his 2016 maiden outing on Perpetualis being when the pair first crossed paths musically. Tracks on the likes of Nature Viva and Stil Vor Talent soon followed.

Speaking Minds & Amarcord make a welcome return to AEON with the Cosmic Friday EP, a moving five track release that features stunning remixes from scene heavyweights Fort Romeau and Moscoman.
“‘Cosmic Friday’ comes from the attempt to merge Krautrock influences with a blade runner-esque vibe while keeping the structure of a modern dance music record. ‘Drums & Oscillators’ instead is simply what the title recalls: a live session made with a Korg MS-20 recorded on a single take which remained unchanged. With the night drive mix the record has been turned into a slowly burning acidic tune for the darkest night drives.” Speaking Minds & Amarcord.
Cosmic Friday begins the EP powerfully, as a synth filled bassline rolls up and down before ethereal pads lead into rustling hi- hats. Fort Romeau’s Humanoid mix of the title track comes next, featuring distorted keys that pave the way for a moving piano chime, before Drums & Oscillators ratchets up the pace with subtle pulses and vibrating basslines. Moscoman’s Remix of Drums & Oscillators is another powerful dance number, as a chunky, wobbling rhythm is complemented by emotive violin calls, whilst the Night Drive Mix rounds off the EP with breakbeat-esque percussion and a penetrating acid solo.
Speaking Minds is a founding member of AEON alongside Alex Niggeman and Denis Horvat. Fellow Italian Amarcord is no stranger to the scene, having teamed up with Speaking Minds on the Mermaid’s Chant EP released on Canadian imprint My Favourite Robot Records. Esteemed record enthusiast Fort Romeau has produced standout releases for the likes of Running Back and Spectral Sound. Moscoman is the proprietor of respected imprint Disco Halal, and is a prolific producer and remixer, releasing on labels such as ESP Institute and Life and Death whilst similarly remixing the likes of Man Power and Bawrut.

Core Ellum Audio artist Dino Lenny returns to the label with two more of his deeply enchanting techno cuts.

As well as running his own Fine Human Records, Lenny has fine credits on landmark imprints such as Cocoon, Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels, Diynamic, Innervisions and of course Ellum Audio. He is constantly evolving and honing his sound, which is atmospheric as well as infectious. 

His work on Ellum perfectly fits in with this label’s cinematic style and that continues here.First up is ‘Beg U’, which is a superb seven-minute adventure in deep techno. A lead synth line is allowed plenty of time and space to make its impact, with rawness in the crashing hits and cosmic tension coming from the pads. All in all this is an utterly consuming dance floor experience finished off with an aloof
vocal line that echoes Depeche Mode.

 The excellent ‘Gauss’ ft Black Mami is slick future tech built on busy bass that rattles up and down the scales with real presence. Laser like synths search across the face of the track and it all builds to a rapturous peak that will have the floor going wild.
