The Mission Creeps From Tucson, AZ
Hailing from Tucson, the same diverse music scene that brought forth the Machines of Loving Grace, Calexico and Bog Log III, The Mission Creeps spin tales of a different, darker kind of desert, one filled with monsters both real and imagined. Inspired by that feeling of being a kid and staying up late to watch horror movies, The Mission Creeps aim to recapture the terror and fun associated with those nights taking their cues from bands following similar inspirations, such as The Cramps, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, and Deadbolt.

Rue Morgue Magazine described their sound as “awash in surf guitar” and noted singer James “Arr’s ability, much like Nick Cave, to switch between seductive narrative and a raving yelp.” Supported by the throbbing rhythms of bassist Miss Frankie Stein and drummer George “of the Jungle Beat” Palenzuela, a scary good time can always be had at their shows. With six releases and a couple of US tours under their belt, they offer up musical tales populated with witches, killer gnomes, and parties for the undead while providing beats that keep the body moving and the demons at bay.

Two full-length albums were produced in the early 2-year session from 2007-2009: 

Musical Chairs, my first full-length album of recordings, a bit noisy due to inexperience, but still quality work.
Cannibals and Androids, the second, and a concept album about a post-apocalyptuc jailed space-saboteur, features electric guitar and a more refined sound, in contrast. 
A 3rd full-length album was halfway finished (Recognizing Who Makes the Rules) but was cut short. 
Many of the songs and an album of outtakes (Alien Orphanage) were used for soundtracks to my painting time-lapse films, you can check them out on YouTube which you can find on my website https://artcollecta.com

All Instruments and tools borrowed to create these recordings;
Vacation Ed Marjy let me use his spot on Riley St. in Corpus Christi, TX and his old G5 computer with GarageBand Software, as well as his four-string bass, and a black classical guitar which was left in the house by the previous owners. 
C. Mesa let me borrow his Shure SM57, SM58 mics/cable. which I used for bass, vocals, drums / percussion.
Aaron Salinas let me use his drum set and I promised him a painting of Rasputen I still have yet to do.  I beat on them pretty good. lol
Brad Peterson let me use his 6 string electric guitar toward the early session of this session (Cannibals and Androids). not sure what kind it was, a SG maybe.
"La Tristesse Durera Toujours" was recorded in Gilbert Aguirre's Department 13 Studios in like 05 or 06 in the Nueces Building, Downtown Corpus Christi, TX

I play lefty on righty guitar setup and finally got a lefty strat in 2020 and switched the nut and flipped the strings.  That's the guitar you'll hear on my newer recordings. "Let Her Fly" and "Go Up".
