Nianova and Danny aka Bizzarro Universe (@bizzarro_universe) are colorful, loud and spacy. You could briefly think that the two are from the future, but leased the 80s and 90s for their style. Since 2018 their Indie Dance and Italo Disco DJ sets bring a lot of fun and good mood to the dance floors. The symbiosis between 80s Synths and modern good-feel or driving basslines always fascinated them and with the start of the pandemic they combined their skills. Nianova as a musician and Danny as a DJ for over a decade. Connected through the love for music they started their first productions which were released in 2021 on the Hamburg based label Verflixt Music and hit the Beatport Top 10 Indie Dance Album Charts with their Sphärenharmonie EP.

In December 2021 they were voted as Artist of the Month on Hamburger Nächte and in spring 2022 there are two more tracks planned on Verflixt Music and the first time on the Amsterdam based Italo Label Bordello A Parigi.

Of all the songs George Michael wrote I think his song with Aretha Franklin was one of the best, especially "hook-wise" ;-). The overall vibe was a bit too pop rock for me though so I tried to add some 80s funk.

Route 94's latest 'Mind, Body, Soul' EP is some of the best output we've heard from the producer and one of the tracks is a collaboration with UK house hero Matt Tolfrey. It's a stand-out of the record and it'll blow the roof off any club it's played in. 

It's a pulsating roller that uses thick, venomous basslines as the central pont of the track and we can't stop listening to it. Listen below.

Since the first time I visited Black Rock City, the night of the burn has always been a special one for me and I’ve tried ever since to have a special soundtrack for it, sometimes playing all night long with a partner sometimes putting together the lineup... this time was no exception, the tension and energy created during the burn had set the tone for was about to come, a night of energetic and futuristic sounds until dawn... When my time to takeover came, the mood was already vibrant so it was just perfect to unleash some guitars to raise our fists in the air one last time and to pair with the fire coming from the Warrior’s head and “El Pulpo Mecanico” who was visiting us and made a perfect fit to the atmosphere... What a night...
