‘Help Us Find The Groove’ is a concept plunderphonics album in which the concept is in the title itself; What is my signature sound? 

It’s a personal expression of my experimentation of sampling from various different sources, but also sampling from my interest in improvisation and even some of my own recordings and previous tracks. Overall, it’s conveying the struggles of an artist finding their own sound, even if I’ve personally feel that I’ve found it!

Inspired by the soundtrack to 'Sonic Mania'; here's a 90's remix of 'The Sonic The Hedgehog Movie' OVA from 1996.

Composed using samples from the film's soundtrack, vocals, dialogue and also composed with samples from 'Sonic Adventure 2', 'Sonic Heroes', 'Sonic R' The Original classics from the SEGA Genesis; and a sneaky Jamiroquai sample! Also composed with extra synthesisers, drum machines, slap bass and way too many jazz chords.

Here’s something different; a remix of a remix! Smuffy is another figure I look up to in the plunderphonics community. His recent departure from making music and making all of his samples and projects ‘open source’ has really opened the floodgates for the community to get creative; which I had to join in myself!

I had a lot of fun playing around with the chord structure and even the vocal sampling, paying homage to Smuffy’s eclectic sampling from a range of films/tv shows. Composed using samples from the original track, and vocals from Smuffy’s open sourced sample folder on Archive.org!
