Happy 2016 to you all, we hope you had a lovely Festive season and New Year! 

We’re jumping head first into it with a cracking new podcast from @anile. 

Matt’s music has been of a consistent quality since he first made his debut back in 2010. Since then he has continued to grace a plethora of quality labels such as Soul:R, CIA Deep Kut, Commercial Suicide and Cylon to name but a few. His wide-ranging output is indicative of an artist with a broad taste in drum and bass, someone who can pick out quality within the music whatever sub-genre it may line in.

Fast-forward to 2015, and it saw Matt being picked up by none other than Med School for an album project – and what an album it was. Chock full of quality, styles and vibes – it showcased his production talent and variety in spades and is one that is sure to stand the test of time.

And now he graces us with a sublime SUNANDBASS Podcast. Flitting beautifully from deep and dark to musical and uplifting, it’s just what you need for the start of 2016.

With their sophomore LP set to hit shelves in the middle of July, Technimatic promises to bring a fresh, albeit wildly informed, approach across its 15-track run. Ahead of its release, we’re given a glimpse at their sophomore album in the shape of the first official single, “Parallel.” Seeping with equal parts grace and summer glow, this radiant roller flaunts the lush pipes of Zara Kershaw, whose colorful vocals lend the liquid instrumentals a blinding allure.

Skankandbass is dedicated towards the official promotion of record labels and artists in the world of drum & bass music. Since inception in 2010, Skankandbass has unearthed some of the freshest talents in the scene and has opened many doors for unsigned artists. Now, a few years in to the game, Skankandbass decides to take on the role of a record label to put together a series of free download singles which aims to further help spread the work of the best unsigned, newcomer artists who deserve more recognition.

When French producers Ak:Hash, Midn8Runner, Dask & Euk came together as Visages, they likely had their sights set on becoming drum & bass’ next notorious quartet, and have hit the ground running.  After putting out their first release on Impact Music in early 2018, the Toulouse based production force quickly followed that up with appearances on Flexout & Dispatch Limited, and now kick off 2019 in style by bringing their dark production style to our label with SNB045 ‘Abraxas / Spacecraft’.
