This mix was definitely inspired by this amazing photograph taken by Australian photographer: Marcelo Lang. I was so glad he gave me permission to use it, because the songs in this set seem to go perfectly with this beautiful back drop. "Gems" by Tasha LeRae, Divinity & Piranahead and another "Banger" by DJ David Morales to name a few. "Shine" absolutely epitomizes the musical spirit of summer 2021. So you know the drill. After our last edition of A Chance To Dance saw us host New York based Will Buck we return to home soil here in the UK this week where we are joined by Liverpool based DJ & producer Petals In Sound. 

Petals in Sound (Louise Baldwin) is a UK-based producer and DJ. After over a decade of living, working and partying in Southeast London, Petals In Sound recently relocated to Crosby in Liverpool.   

She has released music on labels such as Closer To Truth, Dirt Crew Records and DJ Spens Unquantize Records which have picked up support on the likes of NTS and the Slothboogie Radio Show. 

Her unique sound has been described as atmospheric house combined with deep electronica, whilst maintaining a deep house, jazz-like feel to her productions. She counts everyone from Daniel Avery to Chaos in the CBD as big influences. Catch her brilliant guest mix during hour 2!

Donky Pitch is always on the cutting edge of wonked out bass music and, fittingly, North Carolinian producer Tokyo Hands has been on a tear over the past few months with a slew of left-field takes on hip-hop influenced dancefloor tunes. "Under Control," off of his Underbrush EP, thrives with a bouncy kick pattern and chopped up vocals that somehow manage to make minimalist sound maximalist.

Born in bear country on the Atnarko River in Northern Canada, Atnarko channels his inner bear as he deejays and produces hypnotic dance music straight from the heart of the beast. Atnarko is considered a legend of the underground house music scene in the south. He is known for his DJ sets that extend into the wee hours of the morning, taking adventurous partygoers deep into his musical den.

He also produced some of the early breaks records that defined the genre as it was emerging. These include the classic, “Tunnel Vision,” cited as an early influence by Maceo Plex, among others. As his career developed, he went on to produce many records and moved into other genres, most notably house and techno. With close to 200 releases appearing on a wide variety of labels, Atnarko’s paw prints are firmly planted in dance music.

His label, Infiltr8:Celebr8, continues to set the pace for underground events in Orlando, booking dance music friends and heroes with great success, expanding, and elevating the city’s culture. He continues to walk this path, playing and producing music he loves, regardless of boundaries. Atnarko has told his musical story far and wide over his long career and he would love to tell it to you.
