The beginning of 2002 saw Gorillaz cultural stock in the UK still on a high with award nominations and notably the appearance at the UK BRIT awards, opening the show. To remind the public that the album was still out there, a single was required. Tomorrow Comes Today, although released previously as the lead track on an EP was chosen as there was a video readily available, and also because the original release had not made much impact so it would be new to most people. The biggest treats for the fans on the package were probably the revised Gorillaz biographies and a new original B-side, 'Film Music' a mischevious title which tied in with the Gorillaz movie Damon and Jamie were talking up to any interviewer who'd listen (and, Gorillaz having conquered the world by this point, these were not few in number). As this is the only original B-Side not compiled on any version of G-Sides, the inclusion of 'Film Music' also makes this release more desirable for collectors.

We present you the third release in our very successful collaboration series with “Roar Groove” and “The Revenge”. Straight after his new brilliant album “When the Thrill Comes” that was release in May this year Graeme Clark is back on Dirt Crew with four new gems.

The opening, funky and twisting, “Times Get Tough” is a deep rolling down tempo Disco/ House stomper that builds into this ecstatic groove we got to love so much from his previous outings. Pure good times and hands in the air action promised on this one! “Subconcious” is that darker and meaner side of House track with a slammin’ Chicago beat he delivers this old school jackin’ feel. Big bass lines and soulful vocal samples tied together by “on the fly” drum patterns.

The B-side of this new EP opens with an hypnotic jam that builds and builds till those sweet synths start soaring in. All carried by this ultra phat bass line, we can only imagine how this one will sound on a massive sound system! “Searchlight” is def a highlight of this release. Can we go even deeper and darker? oh yes! With “Come Down” we get a proper come down to close this EP. Deep sub basses with floating tops and again that classic Jack House beat.

Certainly a late night track made for those sweaty and long dj sets.
Summer is here and “The Revenge” has the perfect soundtrack for hot and steamy nights, inside or on the open field!

Widely acclaimed techno pioneer ​Nicole Moudaber ​has delivered the release of her ​'Adoption' ​EP, a two-track production on ​Nicole​'s own ​MOOD ​label which sees the dynamic producer tackle two tracks from one of the most important innovators of dance music since the 90s,​ Moby.

Offering a heavy and grinding feel on her remix of ​Moby​'s 'Mere Anarchy'​, (taken from 2018 album 'Everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt') ​Moudaber packs the mix with haunting melodies, with the subtle use of orchestral sounds adding a hypnotic feel to the release. She goes on to spin a uniquely dark and twisted rework of 'Like a Motherless child', pitching down Moby's vocals to create a deep demonic sound, with both remixes verging into a range of immersive textures.

Nicole's ​MOOD has served as a home for an array of the most ​intriguing productions of recent times since launching 5 years ago, previously hosting names such as ​Carl Craig, ​Alvaro Am, Pan-Pot, Pleasurekraft ​and ​Carl Cox​, who Nicole​ recently collaborated with for her milestone 50th release on the imprint.

Diamond Thug’s latest single ‘The Woods’ is a story of two lovers lost in a forest of disconnection and emotional isolation. Introduced with an industrial synth progression, the song metaphorically speaks to the difficulties of maintaining a relationship in the modern world by comparing the emotional journey to a walk in dense woods.

Disconnection in the online world of connection is contrasted by the comfort, yet overwhelming magnitude of the natural world. The imagery of the lyrics depicts beautiful scenery, moon shadows, gripping summers and dense green forest, with an underlying darkness of the disconnection one feels by walking at one’s own pace. Chantel Van T’s eerie, yet powerful vocal melody is supported by a driving and pulsating rhythm section, building in tension and density as the song progresses to its climatic second chorus in an explosion of distorted guitars and melodic synth lines. The song was written across continents, with Chantel Van T writing and recording the vocals in the French Alps, while the band recorded in their home city Cape Town.
