Alright, listeners: we did it!  We found the loudest vampire movie in existence and it is 30 Days of Night.  The plot of this movie is great in theory: the vampires don't have to hide from the sun for 30 nights so they can raise as much hell as possible.  However, there are too many plot holes and bad vampire-ing for this movie to be taken seriously.  We found ourselves talking about anything but this movie except when it came to the vampire shrieking. It perfectly combines different storylines into a perfectly cohesive and hypnotizing journey.  Yes, it has vampires, but it has so much more than that. We have another viewer request locked and loaded!  We watched The Monster Squad, an off-brand monster movie, where kids take the helm.  This movie is peak 80s chaos, and we have lots of thoughts.  Actually, we may have only one thought that we repeatedly talk about.  Listen: we aren't going to apologize for saying hymen more than any two people should in a short timespan. Our Halloween posting spree continues with A24's Talk to Me. This movie begins with a bang, and the special effects are on point. This movie is chock full of creepy imagery, jump scares, and unfortunately for our main characters, awful decisions. But what do you expect? Their frontal lobes aren't developed! Listen up as we discuss just who the main villain is and why it's not good to listen to ghosts. Paired with a Little Brother cocktail.

Next up in our Halloween month is the 1980s classic, Poltergeist.  Listeners, this is the OG Insidious with a better dad.  Yes, we know that by current standards, the parents make mistakes, but hey, it was the 80s!  It was completely normal to send your kid off in a taxi while standing on your porch waving goodbye!  This movie has great scares and still holds up today - a true can't-miss horror movie!  Paired with a Poltergeist Potion cocktail.

It's a fun take on the different stages of Halloween people go through as they age, complete with cautionary tales. Trick R Treat

For Devil's Night, we are releasing the OG Evil Dead.  This is totally a childhood trauma movie, and one of us may be over it, while one of us is definitely not.  Besides the multiple eye close-ups, the filming techniques hit, and here is where we disagree--the makeup is unsettling.  We may not agree with every aspect of this movie, but there are 2 things we 100% do: Scott sucks and we totally would have survived this movie!

Welcome to A Toast to Horror: Crapshoot Edition.  In the episode, much like the movie we discuss, what can go wrong will go wrong. The Monkey

We've discussed some wild movies during our tenure as horror podcast hosts, but 1981's Possession takes the cake.  This movie is unlike anything we've ever seen, and we could barely string a coherent plot out of it.  Having said that, we could not look away from this movie and all the wtf moments in it.  We confidently say this movie isn't for everyone, but everyone should watch it--even if it is to take a selfie toward the end to see what face  you make when the climax hits. It's that special time of year where we try to rack our brains for a fun holiday special!  This movie proved to be lackluster, but it's Christmas-y!
