We are back to business after the Christmas season.  Our next movie is Child's Play, a movie that's going to make you want to implant a tracker in your child.  This movie is a wild ride and one you won't want to miss!  Remember to always hide the voodoo doll you made of yourself, avoid peddlers selling mysterious dolls, and always, always lock your car doors to protect yourself from murderous dolls. Join us and ponder how Chucky can be so strong and how fast he can actually transform fully into a human.  Paired with a Child's Play cocktail.

Child's Play

We know two things about the movie, Us.  1. It's scarier than we thought it would be. 2. We need Jordan Peele to email us so we can get answers for our burning questions after watching this movie.  The juxtaposition of the wild situation occurring and normal family interactions is highly entertaining. Hold on to your candy apples (and cocktails) as we talk about bear safety, underground tunnels, Winston Duke the Babe, and of course, Us.

Put down your laundry and get out your chest hair to listen to our newest episode on My Bloody Valentine.  We cover a lot of topics in this episode, some which even relate to the movie.  While this movie may not have the fastest paced plot ever, we really enjoyed its practical effects, imaginative kills, and how we learn the villain's backstory.  We were also taught lessons in fashion by the hero and the ultimate moral of the movie: women do not belong in the mines!  Paired with a My Bloody Valentine cocktail.

If, for some reason, you needed another reason to not answer your door, here it is!  After watching The Strangers, we now fully understand the meaning of Stranger Danger!  We give you full permission to never answer your door again.  This movie is scary for multiple reasons, but perhaps the scariest reason is the poor choices the protagonists made.  Come on ladies, we know getting into a bath with brown water is not good for your vaginal health!  Turn off those country records, don't split up, and listen to our new episode on The Strangers. The Strangers

There's no other way to put it--this was a frustrating one.  All My Friends Hate Me has extremely high audience ratings and a good score on Rotten Tomatoes, so maybe we're the weird ones.  This movie is advertised as a horror comedy, but we found it severely lacking in both categories.  Actually we found this movie lacking every aspect that makes a good movie.  Paired with an equally revolting Harry's Cocktail.

We're coming to get you, listeners! This week, we are talking about George A Romero's classic: The Night of the Living Dead.  You can't watch this movie without appreciating its groundbreaking plot and effects.  HOWEVER, you can watch this movie and not appreciate the useless women (way to go, Barb).  It's a good thing Ben (played by Duane Jones) makes up for it with empathy, critical thinking, and, most importantly, hotness.
