Our next instalment comes courtesy of Pretoria-based artist Kat La Kat, 
a South African underground music legend. Showcasing his incredible depth of musical knowledge and renowned mixing skills, Kat has created an hour long journey that takes the listener through a wide range of feeling and atmosphere.
The mix starts off with a steady rhythm and echoing effects held together by sparse percussion, before Kat picks up the energy with signature ease, as stuttering claps swirl over dramatic synths and rousing basslines.

ATOM 009 Session comes as a guest feature from Berlin based label owner and artist, Fuueihou. Co-founder of the vinyl-only label Druzhba Records & founding member of the house duo Fuzoku, Nick Sabev a.k.a. Fuueihou has been exploring the nostalgia-fuelled musical boundaries between past and present.

This session takes us through an evolving and uplifting house journey, filled with classic grooves and warm-progressions - a nostalgically comforting piece to accompany us through the wet weather during this lockdown period.  Enjoy!
