Who Is Arcadia is a Newcastle local who favours sounds characterised by broken beats, booming drum machines and acid lines, all of which feature in this mix he has put together for Selfness. He has held residencies at NoFrills, Palace, Tunnel Vision and 404, and has just put out his second release, a double single titled ‘Channel 2’ and has more music in the works.

This Novocastrian has been pushing boundaries with his impressive productivity and personal track releases, with our new favourite 'Curiosity Track' capturing an energy and intensity he also brings to his mixing. With recent residencies at Palace (@palaceunderground) and 404 (@404crew) events over March, Who Is Arcadia is quickly becoming an important figure in our local scene, with this mix of atmospheric breaks, enthralling basslines and hearty electro, showcasing the strength of Newy artists.

Le son analogique jouit d’une singularité propre que l’artiste s’obstine à extraire et transformer en une matière organique et bestiale. Il sert ainsi une musique machinale aux influences cold et kraftwerkiennes, s’appuyant sur le travail d’artistes comme Maelstrom, Cygnus, HVL, The Hacker ou encore Sync 24.

🇬🇧 Lost in Material, producer and DJ part of Rafale Records, takes us deep into his electro world, a true ambassador to his craft. The analog sound he crafts aims to extract and transform organic matter into music. This creates mechanical and cold tracks, inspired by the likes of Kraftwerk, Maelstrom, Cygnus, HVL, The Hacker and Sync 24.

With his contribution comes the guilt conclusion to our own origins. With his intuition and his massive repertoire of all bass music genres. Bassmusic is always the frame for him. Even if the mix is a bit more untypical for Rarry, he knows how to harmonize 4/4 beat with 90s rave and breakbeat. is background and bass influences are unmistakable. He also lets the local reference to the national Electro/Bass scene flow in with various tracks from labels from Berlin and Leipzig like @wetpakrec, @warningberlin, @clearmemory and @radiantlove.

For Hotseat Recordings’ second release, Trans-Neptunian Orbit has stepped up with a 3 track, Electro influenced masterclass EP. Trans-Neptunian Orbit joined the Hotseat Family for our first release, with the contribution of “10 Years From Now” which was incredibly well received. 

This EP is a concept expressing the emotions felt when frantically searching through space for new human life forms. “Journey To The Unknown” & “Warp Speed” perfectly capture the excitement of the unknown. The third and final track “No Sign of Life'', is an atmospheric & melancholic trip that conveys the emotions of finding no more than barren wastelands on the “Journey to the Unknown”.
Trans-Neptunian OrbitIrish born Maurice Anthony Moran is a Berlin-based artist captivated in the sound of electro and anything in between, from techno to breaks to IDM. Influences to Maurice’s sound pallet go back as far as Kraftwerk but most notably from Detroit electro kingpins Drexciya. 

Maurice started DJing in 2016 at Bray Institute of Further Education on the DJ techniques and music production course taught by Sunil Sharpe. During this time Maurice developed his skills as a DJ and began the learning process for production. Over the years Maurice had the privilege to play alongside the likes of Alienata, AIROD, The Exaltics, Radial and Umwelt, while playing the closing set for Fuinneamh festival in 2017.

In order to expand his artistic reach, Maurice chose to wield 3 aliases. His main artistic identity is Maurice Anthony Moran but he has two accompanying aliases, Patient 808 and Trans-Neptunian Orbit. Patient 808 is a concept piece based in a post-apocalyptic world annihilated by an airborne virus, with fast-paced dark electro and techno the main focal point. For Maurice’s concepts based around space and time, he uses the alias Trans-Neptunian Orbit. The sound pallet includes fast-paced electro breaks with glitchy sound effects accompanied by acid basslines and soul drenching harmonies. Anything outside these sound brackets is released under Maurice's main musical identity, Maurice Anthony Moran.
