The shift is underway. We've seen the writing on the wall, and the transformational paradigm realignment in the electronic music industry is afoot. No longer are fans content to bang their heads in hedonistic ecstasy before passing out under a car in the parking lot. Supporters of the scene want more--and they're getting it. The sacred bass and downtemple scenes are emerging from their west coast haven to spread the word from coast to coast.

And it's a European producer who has gotten the ball rolling. Since the 80's, Toby Marks has been an influential producer and label head, amassing a huge catalog of tunes and treasures. His most recent album, Apollo, breathes new life into the industry, and as such, the remixes are equally potent. Artists like GAUDI, Kaya Project, and Eat Static take their turns on Ollopa: Apollo Remixed, and the results are extraordinary.

Today, we premiere the Desert Dwellers remix of "All Sleeping." This reset button for the body and soul is a liquid trip down healing waters into a soothing pool of transfixing percussion and light, glitchy melodies. Slip away on a whisper with this translucent delight that captures the mind. It's out there. And there's no doubt the boys are going to break it out when they play Sonic Blossom in Denver, CO next week. It's too good to keep locked up.

People say "truth be told" when clearing up a misunderstanding. From
first impression, the piano chord which opens the track "Never gonna
happen twice" is sad, but expectations turn when it becomes an
optimistic object. In a blend with sounds from a melodica and a
familiar melody, the music plays brilliantly to the rhythm of the drum
sequencer. The foundation of the song is done, so what follows must be
a new, more personal element; the "truth". "I've listened once to my
friend's advice and it's never gonna happen twice" echo the song's
lyrics.

Then the slide guitar brings that sweep of truth into the song to
enforce these thoughts. All was done so quickly on a lazy afternoon, a
testament to the truth that a simple story tells simple things and
simple truths.

Igor Kauric is an eclectic performer and songwriter whose musical output lies behind several monikers, stage names and pseudonyms.&#13;
&#13;
Hailing from Croatia, Igor set out to pursue his interest in art and multimedia, refusing to get stuck in a box and giving a voice to all the different creative directions he felt like exploring.&#13;
&#13;
The young Igor has been fascinated by the art of sound since a very tender age: Things have gone a long way since he first started stomping and slamming around the place. Those primordial percussions left room for piano lesson, guitar and much more.&#13;
&#13;
There is a very old proverb that goes around within music business circle, sounding something along these lines: “The best composer does not invent. The best composer borrows”. &#13;
It might sound like a mean backstab at first, but if you stop for a minute and consider it, this saying holds a lot of truth, more so than you could probably believe. &#13;
&#13;
Every single living human to dwell on this here planet, at any given time in history, has been influenced by his own environment.  Culture, entertainment, social conventions…all of these variables are deeply routed within our way of understanding and interpreting our reality. What we feel, what we see, what we experience goes on to influence our sensibility. &#13;
The more you are willing to get out of your “little box”, in the words of Pete Seeger, the more you will be exposed to something different and unique. Diverse cultures, different mindset, different thinking, different living.&#13;
&#13;
The way music moves, changes and evolves is a mirror of this process: So many artists simply focus all their energy and effort into one single genre,  often at the risk to produce pale, bad, bland  and meaningless imitations of what they focus on, with no significant  power or value.&#13;
&#13;
On the other hand, there are artists with an eclectic approach,  just like Igor Kauric.&#13;
&#13;
 Artists like Igor manage to create music according to their own, original perspective, blending influences as diverse as their personal experience go. In Igor’s case, he set out to express his fondness for being diverse and kaleidoscopic through a wide range of project, not only musical acts, but also production portals and online communities.&#13;

&#13;
Each one of these project keep up with Igor’s hunger for diversity within his musical output, pushing his sound towards three well defined different directions. There is a common footprint, a common spark that almost feels like Igor’s own signature throughout all these different projects, yet each project truly stands out as a new, independent entity.&#13;
