Big fan of Jamiroquai from back in the day and noticed that apart from the classic Morales remix of Space Cowboy there's not actually that many quality edits around of his classic tracks, especially those staying close to the original. 
With that in mind been working away over the last few months and finally happy to be dropping a new mixtape and supporting 24 hour release of some of their classic joints.

And I'm back! This time with a shiny new swing-hop tune released by none other than the legendary Ragtime Records. 

This project came about when we were all locking down from that killer plague just a few years ago. With time on my hands, I learned how to use the MPC I'd been neglecting, listened to a lot of Jazz, and got quite into Film Noir, especially The Big Sleep. All of that boiled down to this release, especially Lemonade. Not that the vocal has anything to do with that, I've just always loved the lyric. 'Lemonade was a popular drink, and it still is' - wise words, if I've ever heard any.

The Fritz, beat maker extraordinaire and all round sample-based music enthusiast from Cornwall, returns to Ragtime Records with a Jazz Hop double A side, Lemonade, and Back in '89. 

Packed with vintage samples from London's 1920s swing scene and iconic Film Noir vocals, Lemonade is a glitchy lo-fi beat that's filled with rare Big Band loops that are blended with authentic Boom-Bap drums, MPC style. 

Next up is Back in '89, a swingy nod to the Golden Era of Hip Hop that's as atmospheric as it is catchy, with a stuttered sample, neck-breaking head-nod rhythm, and a warm low-end that's just right.

This is a story of long digging, Zapy went around the world to find some insane, crazy and at the same time original instrumentals, Dj UraGun have found some unknown joints in his huge vinyl collection, giving some ideas how make it fat. Both guys made their best to bring some fresh beats to complete this mix. Guys put there their best emotions from love to hate as that 2020 was really a very hard year. This mixtape is dedicated to Dj Uragun's grandmother, his club, to all the borthers & sisterz who have supported us during all this years.

Dj Zapy & Dj UraGun - Boom Bap Appeal Vol. 2 2021

Music project embodied by its creator and sole member Evgeny Lapaev.
Inspired by the break-dance culture, and by the music of Music Instructor, Flying Steps, Freestyle Project, Bomfunk MC's, B-Boy Tronik, Evgeny began to create Electro & Freestyle music since 2005.

Evgeny's first tracks were published in 2007 on www.freestyle-music.ru (Russian popular musical site of the time, dedicated to freestyle music). And following the release of an eponymous track, the project acquired a name — Atomic Project (From 2011 to 2014 the project was also called Atomic 2K). 

Since 2007, dozens of tracks have been created. Some were released on E-Freakz and Sound Factory labels. 
The most popular tracks in 2016 were Breakdance Epidemy and Freestyle Music, and scored over a million views on YouTube. 

In 2017, Evgeny, together with colleagues from Russia and Israel, founded the Freestyle Forces music team, that released several explosive Electro Freestyle singles. (Currently, Freestyle Forces has also become known as an independent label, for releasing the music of the team members) 

Since 2021, Evgeny has returned to creating and releasing new tracks by Atomic Project, and the project has begun a new stage to return listeners' interest in old-school music. Also, since 2021, Atomic Project has been participating in the yearly official music compilation dedicated to the world breakdance championship - "Battle of the Year - The Soundtrack", released by Dominance Records (Germany).
