Imagine a space where everything is possible - a space that allows things beyond your imagination to happen. Sweaty bodies heat the air, beautiful people  mingle skin to skin - all dressed up to create an immersive experience for everyone. A smell of tension, ecstasy and lust lies in the air - this is House of Lunacy. 
My opening set is a blend of different genres, creating a journey through the night, guiding the rhythm of the bodies on the dance floor and setting the mood for the hours to come.

Borderland Opening Party @ Hyperstition

There are very few as innovative and humble as Sascha Funke, a revered producer, disc jockey and all round gentleman. Since 1999 he has helped push electronic music forwards in more ways than he is perhaps accredited for. Releases on the likes of Kompakt, BPitch and Cadeux helped establish him as a reckonable force amidst a time in which dance music underwent an interesting transitional spell. His sound has evolved with age: exploring the roots between experimental electronics, minimal, house and ambient he has established himself as a figurehead for respectability and his recent output has continued to demonstrate this as such. Last year marked the release of a new album on Endless Flight and followed on from EP's on Multi Culti and Turbo. 

We are delighted to be able to feature him as part of our mix series, a warm favourite amidst the Ransom Note gang

Psychedelic reminiscences, vibrant percussions, and hypnotic progressions characterize the eclectic sound of Ángel and Hugo.

Hailing from Granada, Spain, they play records and produce music together. Their approach blurs the lines between Techno, House, and Disco - providing a very free and personal vision to dance music. 

This vision recently translated to an EP released on My Favorite Robot Records. It included a remix from the respected veteran producer, DJ and remixer Sascha Funke. Also, earlier this year, their track "Zenit" released on Coloray's Intercept records and made many dancefloors move. 

Thanks to the organization and curating of their Mordisco Club parties in their hometown, Ángel and Hugo have been able to obtain an expression channel since 2011 with which they show their particular vision of independent electronic music.

That expression is clearly represented in the guest artists who have gone through their parties and with those who have shared booth: Red Axes, Fort Romeau, John Talabot, Pional, and Jeniffer Cardini, amongst many others.

Expect to hear much more from Mordisco in 2020 - including a 12" on Atomnation early in the new year.
