Les Souvenirs De Paris

For this Song without Words, I explored the flowing energy of the baroque Bourree: spirited, elegant and tuneful. I found my response to be very enthusiastic, so there are two bourrees, each in the customary binary form with each half repeated, and then the opening bourree returns as a da capo (unrepeated); although, I dressed up the sections differently for each repeat. All this makes for a substantial piece, but one which, I hope, offers entertainment and good company.
