Kate, who is an actress and photographer, runs her photography studio at our recording studio. She came back to visit us on her week off from the UK tour of Sound of Music, so we recorded a song with the three of us to celebrate! So good to see her and will miss her when she heads off again next week.

A selection of music from our soundtrack for feature-length documentary film 'Common Ground', about the history of sport in Wimbledon.

Our brief was to create a 'theme tune' inspired by the themes to Grandstand, Match Of The Day, Question of Sport; a classical and peaceful piece for a section on Wimbledon Common, five background beds with hopeful and upbeat rock-pop to go underneath interviews with the various celebrities, and an old-fashioned comedy piece to accompany some animations and the out-takes after the credits. 

In order of appearance on the show-reel, the pieces are called:
- Common Ground Theme
- Granite House
- Alexis
- Franklin
- Zero Air
- La Belle Epoque
- Maggie's Rag

The film, supported by Sky Sports and the BBC, premiered at the Wimbledon Odeon on May 18th 2012, and was screened at all schools across Merton, accompanied by a program of free professional sports coaching, with the aim of getting kids passionate and excited about sports for the Olympics and beyond. It features interviews with several sports stars and celebrity enthusiasts including Jacquie Beltrao, John Scales, Greg Rudeski, Andrew Castle, Lawrie Sanchez, Sean Kerly, Annabel Croft, Victor Ubogu, Will Greenwood, Eamonn Homes and Mark Butcher.
