FRIEND OF A FRIEND

My first attempt at a real album!! I put a lot of work into this and I'm very proud of it. I hope you enjoy!!

Recorded at the SAM Summer School 2015, a five-day composition course in the Purcell School. On the first day, our group was given some advice on how to start a new piece. One of these pieces of advice was as follows:

"Don't be afraid to change time signatures or explore various keys. All too often, we get stuck in one time and don't move away from one or two chords."

Taking this to heart, this piece changes keys 48 times and has 33 shifts in time signature. The starting and ending melodies on the cello are made from the tonics of the chord sequence that follows.

15 year old FL Studio composer, I make stuff for myself and for several small Roblox games.

 I like to make weird music, and I’m inspired by Oliver Buckland, Graham Kartna, and Machine Girl.

 I’ve been teaching myself how to compose for about a year now, and I’d say it’s been pretty successful, though i’m lacking some key elements and high quality VSTs, since i don’t own any real instruments. I’d like to make things with more realistic sounding classical instruments or just piano if i had them.

 I do not use AI and I will not use AI.
