This one means a lot to me. “Life Is Hard” is the first track I wrote in almost five years. At the time, I was feeling lost, mentally stuck, confused, and in a pretty dark space.

What pulled me back in wasn’t the hype or clout—it was that recent Kendrick vs. Drake beef. Not the drama, but the way they used music to say something. That hit me. It reminded me of what I’d been missing: not competition, but expression.

This track is raw. It’s me rediscovering my voice. No filters. Just truth.

This song was in the process of being made while my mother and brothers were going through a really rough patch. Facing food insecurity and a collection of other problems due to where they lived. My mother passed before I could finish the song so I dedicate this song to her in hopes she’s still proud up there.
