Pendant que les hommes jouent au volley torse-nu, la pratique du topless est le plus souvent prohibée, voire perçue comme de l'exhibitionnisme. Dans ce premier volet de deux épisodes consacrés aux seins, Charlotte Bienaimé tend le micro à des femmes qui témoignent du rapport compliqué qu'elles ont entretenu avec leur poitrine. Céline, 37 ans, a laissé tomber son soutien-gorge depuis plus de 15 ans et milite pour libérer les seins dans l'espace public. Marie, 48 ans, a vaincu un cancer du sein et a dû subir une mastectomie. Elle a résisté aux nombreuses injonctions à se faire reconstituer le sein et affirme sa volonté de "rester comme ça, en amazone" pour ne jamais oublier ce qu'elle a vécu. Leur témoignage est alimenté par les réflexions de l'anthropologue Corinne Fortier et de la sociologue Anasatisia Meidani. Celles-ci remettent en question la place des seins dans notre société, relégués uniquement à des fonctions érotiques ou maternelles.

Summary:
