Emma wakes up early every morning at seven o'clock. She stretches, grabs her phone, and checks her messages. After a quick shower, she heads to the kitchen for her favorite breakfast: toast with jam and a cup of tea. “Today is going to be productive,” she says to herself. She takes a moment to water the plants on her windowsill, enjoying the sunlight streaming in. Her cat, Milo, jumps on the counter and meows loudly, reminding her it’s time for his breakfast too.

Emma starts her day by writing a to-do list. “Finish the project for work, clean the living room, and call Grandma,” she writes. Then, she organizes her desk and opens her laptop. She works for three hours, stopping only to refill her tea. Milo curls up next to her keyboard, keeping her company as she types.

At lunchtime, Emma decides to go out. She walks to her favorite café, where she orders a sandwich and a coffee. She enjoys sitting by the window, watching people walk by. She notices a family with two children laughing over a spilled ice cream cone and smiles at their joy. The café owner stops by her table and asks how her day is going, which leads to a short but cheerful conversation.

In the afternoon, Emma focuses on cleaning the living room. She vacuums the floor, dusts the shelves, and organizes her books. While cleaning, she finds an old photo album and spends a few minutes looking at the pictures. “So many memories,” she says, holding a picture of her childhood dog. Inspired, she decides to display a few photos on her bookshelf. By five o'clock, Emma is tired but happy. She calls her Grandma, and they chat about their plans for the weekend. “I can’t wait to see you!” says Emma, promising to bring her a homemade cake. Her Grandma laughs and tells her she’s expecting nothing less.

In the evening, Emma prepares a light dinner—salad and grilled chicken—while listening to her favorite podcast. After dinner, she reads a book and relaxes on the sofa. She checks her to-do list, satisfied that she completed everything. At ten o'clock in the evening, Emma gets ready for bed. She brushes her teeth, turns off the lights, and lies down. Before falling asleep, she thinks about her day. “It wasn’t perfect, but it was productive,” she whispers with a smile.

Chapter 1: A Day in Emma’s Life

Tom wakes up one Saturday morning and hears a strange sound outside his window. It’s a soft, high-pitched meow. Curious, he opens the curtains and sees a small kitten sitting on the garden fence. The kitten looks cold, hungry, and scared. “Where did you come from?” asks Tom, but the kitten just stares at him with its big green eyes.

He goes outside, still in his pajamas, and walks slowly toward the kitten. “Don’t run away,” he says, crouching down. To his surprise, the kitten doesn’t move. Instead, it starts purring softly as Tom picks it up. “There is no collar,” he says, checking its neck. “Are you lost?” The kitten snuggles into his arms, and Tom feels its tiny body trembling. “Alright, you’re coming inside.”

In the living room, Tom places the kitten on a soft blanket near the fireplace. “There is some milk in the fridge,” he thinks. He pours a small bowl and sets it in front of the kitten, which immediately starts drinking. “You must be starving,” says Tom.

After eating, the kitten begins exploring the room. It sniffs the books on the shelf, climbs the curtains, and even jumps onto the coffee table. “Hey! There’s nothing for you up there!” laughs Tom. Suddenly, the kitten knocks over a glass vase. “Oh no!” Tom runs to pick it up, but luckily it doesn’t break.

Throughout the day, Tom tries to keep up with the kitten’s energy. It chases a ball of yarn in the kitchen, hides under the sofa, and jumps onto the dining table. “There are too many adventures for you in this house,” jokes Tom, watching it dart from one room to the next.

By the evening, the kitten is exhausted. It curls up in Tom’s lap while he sits on the sofa reading a book. “There is no doubt,” says Tom, stroking its soft fur. “You are my new best friend.”

Just as Tom starts to relax, the kitten wakes up, stretches, and meows loudly. “Alright, alright,” laughs Tom. “What now? Dinner? A new toy?”
He smiles, knowing this little cat has already changed his quiet life forever.

Chapter 2 - Tom's New Cat

Někdo by ji považoval za chybu. Ne-li Chybu. Tahle příslušnice rybí říše je s plaváním na štíru a chodí po dně, jelikož má dvě nohy. Navíc nosí brýle, poněvadž ráda čte, a v kuchyni se otáčí jako michelinská šéfkuchařka. Jenže jestli to není přímo liška podšitá, měla by stejně jako ona pořádně za ušima, kdyby jí tedy na hlavě nějaké narostly. Tudíž se může klíďo píďo stát, že i bytost očividně netypická levou končetinou zachrání… třeba domovský rybník, který po odchodu zdejšího hastrmana úředně vyškrtli z chráněného Stříbropěnného seznamu. Nechutně podvodná byrokracie, ale co naplat. Je na hrdince, aby se křížem krážem harcovala tůněmi, jezery i bažinami, odhodlaně přemlouvala usedlé členy sněmu a nakonec jim zacpala ústa i žábry prvotřídní mňamkou. Horor? Sbírka receptů? Road-movie? Kdoví. Třeba při tom potká i spřízněnou ploutev!

Výmluvná pohádková alegorie z českého rybníka. Nebo spíš rozchechtaná podvodní fraška s ráží gejzíru – a na humor je každý úředník krátký.

Ropušák jen pokýval hlavou a pravil, že jeden podpis opravdu není problém, ale vzhledem k tomu, že je čas oběda, musí se najíst. A to je problém, protože bažina vyschla, a tak mu není jasné, kdy se Ryba Chyba jeho podpisu dočká, jelikož on odchází někam, kde je voda, aby si mohl uvařit, neboť každé malé dítě ví, že kde není voda, vaří se jen velmi těžko. „Tak to tedy ne!“ vykřikla Ryba Chyba. „Netrmácela jsem se takovou dálku jenom proto, abych si tady sedla na kus ztvrdlého bahna a čekala do soudného dne.
