The latest single from Astral Waves, "Universe," is a monolithic adventure to the heart of melodic tech-trance. From the very off, it's a track that demands attention, one that ties the interlinking of pulsing beats with the ethereal, spacey melodies that soar to encapsulate the grand cosmos. They pick up a completely different kind of tempo—maybe one to inspire or bite sharply in a way to actually be reflective of that bold spirit.

In other words, it is a very powerful argument that the best professionalism of Astral Waves is its ability to create masterpieces of sound pictures without losing their emotional expressiveness. So complex in its layers and textures, making the whole thing feel incredibly kinetic, each beat and note seeming not in place for momentum, but out of awed placement.

And it most definitely strikes the balance with pin-point accuracy between the technical skill of tech-trance and the melodic elements that give the genre its soulful edge, ensuring "Universe" will appeal to die-hard enthusiasts of the style and, indeed, convert the indifferent to its cause. This one sparkles with a mission in space for the listener, offering such a sonic voyage that uplifts while it keeps its penchant for thoughtful introspection. Brightly tonal to a level of energy that never wanes, one might say, rather like the shooting stars in the night sky.

Yet there is such deep complexity under the high voltage of the track that one finds oneself listening to it again and again, each spin seemingly offering new layers and nuances. Basically, "Universe" by Astral Waves has been an excellent piece for the tech-trance genre, showing perfect collaboration in energy, melody, and emotion in one piece, serving to build bridges with the audience on numerous levels. This is a single that really does want to fill dance floors but also wants to inspire the listener into a sense of wonder; a connection to the universe around us and to generally bring the positive vibes, which the band pushes with such great energy and passion.

So, either if you belong to the old-type admirers of melodic tech-trance music or simply search for a composition to be easily charged and able to lift your mood, "Universe" surely will be a good choice for listening. "Universe" further solidifies Astral Waves' place in the pantheon of electronic music luminaries, pushing at the boundaries of what its genre can do tirelessly.
