BOUNCE Anthems Vol1

Almost exactly 10 years ago I DJ'd my first ever gig in a club! So thought I would commemorate it by uploading a re-recording of my first set that's been sat on my hard drive since the start of it all, and a brief history of where it all started for me. On Friday 13th of all days!

It was at a club called Rapture in Loughborough and the night was called Twisted run by Danny Lee. A mate of mine Tommy knew the said promoter, recommended me & and passed my CD on. I had never even thought about wanting to play in a club for some reason, it never crossed my mind. I was happy just mixing in my bedroom pissing my neighbours off, constantly wanting to get better and better at playing the decks.

I got this booking off the back of my first demo More Bounce To The Ounce....that being said, there is not a bounce tune in sight, I pretty much went in all guns blazing and is to this day the most savage/hard set ive ever played in my whole 10 year stint in DJing, even ending on a bit of Hardstyle! I remember taking about 20 people with me, and it was in a tiny room at the bottom of the club, my mates were going absolutely bonkers, resulting in my mate Candy knocking the CDJ off the stand and it ended up looping itself mid-track, I didnt realize what was going on until one of my favourite DJs at the time Dawson came over and pointed it out haha.

From then on Danny continued to book me and I then went on to become one of his residents at his & his co-promoter Samantha's new night called D-Railed where i met many long-time friends and countless amazing memories. From there i went to playing further afield for Sanxion, B2T (where i met so many more amazing friends), Frantic, Bounceology, Tidy and various other nights across the country!

If you told me then that from that first set I would have gone on to play at Creamfields 2016 I would have laughed in your face! #goodtimes #hardhousehistory
