Pottawatomie County Emergency Management is the primary county agency responsible for coordinating the mitigation of, preparedness for, response to, and recovery from disasters.

The office is also responsible for maintaining the county’s Multi-Jurisdictional Mitigation Plan and the Local Emergency Operations Plan (PDF) in order to better safeguard lives and property through effective emergency management.
