Gerra & Stone return to Dispatch to join the main label, kicking things up a notch with their “Too Deep EP” dropping this Autumn. Following the huge success of their LTD debut “Backhand / Tenfold”, the Southampton based duo continue to raise the bar. Their first full Dispatch EP features four concrete rollers; each tightly programmed, each packing a punch at the lower frequencies, injecting instant stamina into any discerning crowd.

Title track “Too Deep” swoops down with deadly fervor and venomous low ends that twist and mature throughout, whilst “Long Game” strikes with ferocity and through to the rib cage. Mid-range growls resemble heated alien discourse, as the bass grooving subtly throughout. 

Keeping the beats moody and no-nonsense, bongos lightly patter over “Lockdown” and sweet vocal washes argue with jeering and fermenting bass sounds. “Bus 54” strips to more abstract surface noises initially, but possesses a lethal edge that we have come to expect from Gerra & Stone.

The duo from Southampton are fast becoming artists to watch with material scheduled for Ram before the end of the year and another Dispatch release lined up for early 2015.

Symmetry Recordings is proud to announce this debut release from new signing Boston.  At just 20 years old Boston’s talent for music is evident in this tasteful and exciting single. Hailing from Cardiff, Boston has teamed up with the equally delicious skills of female singer / songwriter Solis for their haunting but uplifting A side track “Go With Me” - A rolling but musical jungle groove, peppered with his own soulful guitar and keyboard licks, performed with Solis’s rich and subtle but moreishly catchy vocal delivery. This track gets stuck in your head, but in a really welcome fashion, like a dream from the night before.

The flip side “The Little Things” - once again highlights Boston’s musical skills bringing a combination of bluesy guitars, filmic pads and well placed vocal licks with a club friendly combo of shaker breaks and rolling reece bass to your ears. Receiving fantastic club reactions and strong Dj support this is definitely an example of how to nail a debut.

Surplus - Soul Trader Records 1st Birthday Mix

Thesis returns to Soul Deep with this stunning 2 track EP.  The title track, "Arcadian", leads things off with it's whirling synth loop, Rhodes chords, snappy drums, and warm bassline.  The highlight of the track is the main breakdown, which features sounds of nature along with the perfectly crafted synth stylings.  Perfect summer vibes!  The second track, "Set Free", takes over where the first track left off.  Beautiful, melancholic synth pads, acoustic guitar strings, shuffling drums, and a wonderful gritty bassline grace the blissful soundscape.  Classic vibes here by Thesis.  Bring on Summer!

Having signed exclusively to Med School last year, 21-year old Lung brings us his debut solo release on the label. "Why Does Anyone Ever Do Anything?". Lung effortlessly switches down to 140bpm for accompanying venture "Sky People", a dubstep exploration with wide-open sounds, where booming, bouncy bass plays with sparkling hi-hats and a top layer of melodic bleeps plus breezy snatches of vocal samples.
