Named after Nicaragua’s iconic volcano, Momotombo Soundsystem selects and remixes Latin American and Caribbean dance music through a modern electronic perspective.

Artificial Invasion (AI) aka Marcus Martinez has been “turned on” to bass for as long as he can remember. From the first time he heard ‘Planet Rock’, he was hooked to the electronic sound. From early booty music in the mid 90’s, to latin freestyle, it’s no wonder why AI plays the way he does. Playing all genres of music from 110 to 179, AI always has something up his different up his sleeve. Chances are you have caught him playing his main squeeze, Drum N Bass. If you heard him play something else at an event, consider yourself hearing one of his “on the fly” sessions. More recently, AI just stepped in to the wonderful world of producing, be sure to WATCH THIS SPACE!

Audioelectronic is the alter ego of Portland-based producer and live performer Gustavo Lanzas. Originating from the San Francisco Bay Area, Gustavo has been writing and performing electronic music since 1990. One of the founders of Portland's Closer Electronic Music Festival, Gustavo traces his roots back to kickstarting the electro scene in San Francisco as part of Cybrid, and bringing live Drum & Bass as Protolab to 90s parties in SF's rave heyday. 

Currently Gustavo is working on a full-length album of techno-influenced dub, with several live instrumentalists and vocalists.
