With this edition we're almost at the end of an era (at least for me). 2008 was still a great year, but in hindsight I do hear the hardstyle sound that I love so much slipping away. Please don't be sad because there are some exceptional bangers in this showcase!

Welcome to my new showcase! Two Dutch giants in the spotlight. The Beholder (a.k.a. Neophyte) and Max Enforcer (a.k.a. Evil Activities) are such legends. I love their work in the hardstyle- as well as the hardcore scene. You can clearly hear the cross genre influences in these tracks. Just amazing ;)

Also, Zany deserves an huge honorable mention since he collaborated on some of the best tracks.

CARNIFEX x REPHEX showcase (29.04.2018)

This showcase means something special to me. Radial Playerz, the hardstyle duo from Poland, shared lots of unreleased tracks with me so I could make this mix. Thanks again for that!
I love their productions. Energetic leads, rough bass lines and great melodies! It's a shame only a handful of tracks were ever released. 

What to expect? 60 minutes of quality 'classic' hardstyle. Some early hardstyle inspired music fused with some awesome triplet rhythm action!

Please give it a chance even if you don't know these guys. You won't be disappointed. Don't let them die in obscurity!

<2000-2006 = EARLY hardstyle
2006-2011 = CLASSIC hardstyle

BIO:
I started listening to hard dance music in 1999, at the age of 12, the year I went to high school. My taste was pretty random in those early days. But soon the Bitte Ein Beat series would change all that. After purchasing vol.2 and listening it over and over, I knew I had found a new passion in life!

Back then, the term hardstyle wasn't even conceived. We called it hardhouse at first, but that actually never felt right. Luckily someone, somewhere, came up with the name for this new sound: HARDSTYLE! And it felt right immediately.

SIDE NOTE:
I love 'slow' mixing. Let the tracks breath for a bit instead of mixing 30 in 1 hour! Just my opinion ;)
