SCANTRAXX classics (2002-2004) (27.08.2021)

A new showcase remembering the legendary GARY D! It was such a shock when he suddenly passed away in 2016. A sad day for hard dance community. 

Now on to the music; This showcase focuses on the years 2002-2005. It's what I call his early hardstyle period. These tracks are so full of energy! Expect lots of reverse bass, catchy leads/screeches and awesome melodies.

ultimate GARY D showcase (2002-2005) (04.06.2022)

Not my own showcase this time, but one by the master himself: SCOT PROJECT! Such a cool mix which you don't see online anywhere so I thought, why not upload it? 

The A1 album is a double vinyl release from 2005. Next to that there was also a mixed CD version, which is this one. Only thing I did to it is change the BPM from 140 to 145. The ideal tempo for hard trance IMO!

HARDCLASSICS festival 2023 warm up (13.07.2023)

KILLAHEADZ classic hardstyle showcase (03.05.2024)

Finally back again with another showcase mix. Something a little faster than usual at 170 BPM! The genre is called UK (happy) hardcore and I just love it. It's kinda like sped up hard trance with happy vibes ;)

Been quite busy lately so I didn't have much time to do a new showcase. So I'm pleased to tell you I've finished one ;) It's a 90+ minute trip through the colors of trance and the power of acid! *wink wink* 

Tracid Traxx is such a great and diverse label. It wasn't love at first sight in my case, but it really grew on me over time. Artists like Kai Tracid, A*S*Y*S, Hennes and Cold (a.k.a. Derb), Warmduscher and Oliver Klitzing produced some bomb tracks over the years.

Finally managed to finish a new showcase! This time it's about the Dutch hero's SHOWTEK! Nowadays the brothers are far away from producing hardstyle, but back in the days they're always pioneering and leading the way!

SHOWTEK classics showcase VOL.1 (2003-2006) (28.06.2020)

Anyone here who remembers this artist? Da Boy Tommy was an Belgian jumpstyle/hardstyle producer in the late '90 / early '00. He had some great success with his tracks like Kol Nedra, Halloween and Full Moon. I knew those ones from his album 'I Love School' and you'll mostly hear tracks taken from that one in this showcase.

Sadly Tommy passed away in 2013 after a heavy car accident :'( R.I.P. Tommy! Hopefully many will enjoy your music for years to come and I hope this showcase will help with that!

Hello again! It's been a while. Hoping everybody's safe and sound!

Time to kick off the year with some classic hardstyle. It's my ultimate take on Josh & Wesz and Low-E (Glowiej). These guys were releasing some bomb tracks when I was starting to get into DJ'ing. Always an inspiration! Me and my mate Reverzer always tried to capture that same drive/energy in our own sets. Party-style as we called it ;)

I'm building an archive of all my favorite tracks. Especially honoring and showcasing the forgotten gems produced by my favorite artists!

BIO:
I started listening to hard dance music in 1999, at the age of 12, the year I went to high school. My taste was pretty random in those early days. But soon the Bitte Ein Beat series would change all that. After purchasing vol.2 and listening it over and over, I knew I had found a new passion in life!

Back then, the term hardstyle wasn't even conceived. We called it hardhouse at first, but that actually never felt right. Luckily someone, somewhere, came up with the name for this new sound: HARDSTYLE! And it felt right immediately.

SIDE NOTE:
I love 'slow' mixing. Let the tracks breath for a bit instead of mixing 30 in 1 hour! Just my opinion ;)
