"Kalos" è un progetto che nasce nel 2012 da Calogero Aquilina, produttore e musicista nato in Sicilia e trasferitosi a Roma.
Influenzato dalle atmosfere minimaliste e techno inizia a comporre le sue prime tracce con l'utilizzo di software e synth digitali.
Studia Music Tecnology e Sound Design con il maestro Luca Spagnoletti al St.Louis College of Music dove si diploma ed entra in contatto con altri musicisti della scena Romana.
Affascinato dalla continua sperimentazione parte un nuovo percorso che lo porta a comporre con l'utilizzo esclusivo di strumenti analogici, il sound subisce un cambiamento considerevole verso atmosfere concettuali affiancate da beat minimali, bassline distorte e noise.
Dal vivo il set è prettamente "live" seguendo un approccio più "fisico" e reale possibile.
Nel 2013 parte la collaborazione con il musicista e produttore Andrea Messina aka "I'm an Egg", progetto che vede la fusione di concezioni musicali divergenti in funzione di una sperimentazione totale.
Nello stesso anno partecipa a vari festival underground italiani, suona al MAXXI (Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo) e in vari club della capitale.
Il suo primo ep "Impasse" esce ad Ottobre (2013) per "Eklero Records" in download sulle varie piattaforme digitali.

The "Kalos" project was created in 2012 by Calogero Aquilina, Sicilian producer and musician based in Rome.
Under the influence of minimal and techno music his work starts with the use of softwares and digital synthesizers.
During his studies of Music Technology and Sound Design at Saint Louis Music College with professor Luca Spagnoletti, he has his first contact with other artists of the Roman scene.
Driven by a strong interest for experimentation his production move towards a work based only on analog instruments, therefore his sound experiences a strong change that leads towards conceptual atmospheres combined with minimal beats, distorted baselines and noise elements.
His sets are exclusively live and are made on a strictly real and "physic" approach. 
In 2013 he starts a new cooperation with the musician/producer Andrea Messina aka "I'm an Egg", creating a project based on the fusion of opposites music concepts as a function of complete experimentation.
During the same year he takes part in various italian underground festivals; he performs at the MAXII (National Museum for the 21st century arts) and in various clubs within Rome.
His first EP named "Impasse" is released in October 2013 by "Eklero Records", and is available for purchase on various digital stores.

Crossing the parallel between Techno and Industrial music.

A Berlin based techno/industrial record label owned by Adam X. With over seventy releases dating back to 1995. Sonic Groove is one of the longest active running vinyl labels in techno music. Sonic Groove has released music from some of the most legendary names in techno. The label is also known for breaking newer artists in the scene.

Plaster is the electronic music project founded in Rome by Giuseppe Carlini and Gianclaudio Hashem Moniri (Early 2008).

The two young boys where deeply passioned about music production and since their first studio sessions, the sounds of their experiments where really promising and mature. They started to play in most of the experimental festivals in Rome and their performances were clearly dark and solid with a state of the art for mixing Ambient Music, deep beats and sharp metallic sounds.

In 2010, Giuseppe and Gianclaudio moved to Berlin in order to expand their music experiences and In 2011 they started to collaborate with the pioneering Ukrainian label, Kvitnu. 
Founded by Dmytro Fedorenko and Zavoloka, Kvitnu has released most of Plaster's seminal works. After having a wider exposure in Europe (and not only) trough their fresh releases, in 2012 they begin to release music with labels like Stroboscopic Artefacts and Touchin'Bass bringing Plaster's sound to a more Techno direction while preserving their experimental approach.
The renovated sound, pushed the duo to play in important festivals and clubs all over the world and concurrently to enlarge their music to Dance Shows, 3D Structural Mappings, Video Games and Short Films. There have been memorable performances in Taiwan for On Site Festival (2013), at The Rural Festival in Japan (2014) or at the historical Arma 17 in Moscow (2013). 

In 2014 Giuseppe decided to leave the project for a personal break and Gianclaudio took over the work.
The first "solo" release by Plaster is Mainframe (Kvitnu 2015) which along with Platforms (Kvitnu 2011) is considered one of the most influential Italians electronic music albums of the last years.

Over the time, the sound of Plaster has become more mature thanks also to collaboration releases like Blends (Eklero 2021) a huge project which sees Gianclaudio collaborating with International and Italian artists like, Grischa Lichtenberger, Retina.it, Cluster Lizard, Brando Lupi, Pixfoil and many other great artists. Gianclaudio's activities are also related to event managing, in fact he worked as art director for the first two years of life of Klang Rome, probably the only club in Italy dedicated to the experimental music.

Now, Gianclaudio's work is focused on a new live performance developed with long time friend and experimental artist Franz Rosati. Nevertheless the new album for Plaster is under construction and will be released by Textvra Records.

Bio:

Jen Shutton aka Audio Impact born in Naples!
His passion for music began at 15 years old. Attracted by the Neapolitan and Swedish techno influences as well as exploring the variety of techno styles produced in Germany, he quickly felt that producing and djing would have been his lifestyle and lifetime choice. He graduated at 20 years old and only after completing his qualifications he decided to take his beloved hobby to another level making it his professional career. In 2010 he started cranking out his first productions, which were quickly noticed and contracted by a variety of American and European labels, that shortly after released his material. In 2011 comes in 7th place in the top 100 with Subway EP by T3R Records (ESP) and in the top 100 with Shift EP by Trackord Records (GER) of djtunes.com
He continues with passion and love in the search of new and unusual sound to fuse in his new productions, which ranges from techno to minimal techno, trying to show the quality and difference in his imprints. His motto is “TIME FOR TECHNO!” a sentence for real clubbers only! 
In the 2012 Jen lovers of synthesizers, drum maschine, and electronic music in all its subgenres,
decided to create Audio Impact to promote their new productions and founded Impact Musique the label to promote emerging talents of international techno scene.

and a synth that will drag on a long journey...
