This was a fun little exploratory set. I wasn't exactly sure where I wanted to go, so I gave myself some options and felt it out as I went. Zeroed in on a mix of lush synths, sharp hats and some basslines. I enjoy going into a set and not quite knowing what to expect, don't you?

Örbital Audio enters its first orbit with ÖRB001 First Rotation, a debut release that defines the core identity of the label: deep, minimal, and intentionally crafted sound.
Created by Dutch producer Thönis, the EP blends rolling low-end, atmospheric motion, and restrained dub elements shaped with clarity and precision.

Across three tracks Vortex, Drift, and Whiteout, the release explores controlled movement and spacious sonic design.
Vortex rotates around warm bass pressure and subtle rhythmic pull, introducing the gravitational center of the EP.
Drift moves with quiet momentum, a slow-forward motion shaped by air, shadow, and evolving texture.
Whiteout closes the rotation in wide, atmospheric space: minimal yet dense with intent, built around contrast, grain, and clarity.

Rooted in the quiet hills of Heuvelland, the release reflects the foundation of the Örbital world. Depth becomes direction. Motion becomes identity. Atmosphere becomes emotion.

This two-track journey marks a significant milestone for Cristu XXIV. A producer who has been quietly refining his craft, he represents the next wave of the Romanian sound—balancing rhythmic intricacy with an atmospheric soul.
