In celebration of our guest's birthday and the 50th offering from our fledgling nest at the Abstract without Abstraction HQ in Denver, Colorado, we are incredibly honored to present a special offering from an irreplaceable presence in the city's scene, Routing Number. 

Routing Number is a gifted DJ and keen selector who we first encountered in the realms of Denver's house & disco parties, but who we quickly learned is unable to be pigeon-holed; effortlessly traversing the sounds of the spectrum and seen beaming with an infectious enthusiasm on the dance floor as often as they are found behind the decks. Here, they pay homage to their metalhead roots, exploring the intersections between ambient, noise, heavy metal, and dance music in a mix delivered in a style that epitomizes what this series was originally intended to be all about.

As moods reflect, morph, and mirror the weather (here the depths of winter), we hope that you stay warm, look out for one another, turn the volume up, and enjoy pouring over this chapter in our guest's sound. For us, we hope it is just one of the opening chapters, with many more to come. Episode 026 is brought to you by Gregor Schönborn aka Crowdpleaser. The Geneva based Artist always knew how to surprise and to please the crowd with his DJ-Sets. Both of his albums - '2006' put out together with St. Plomb on Mental Groove and the self-titled 'Crowdpleaser' which came out on Tiga's Turbo Records - are gemstones of the Swiss underground scene and built up Crowdpleaser's reputation also far beyond the national boundaries.

Gregor recorded this set back in July while playing at the closing of his own runned club ' The Shark'. A tiny basement of an abandoned building in the heart of Geneva. Despite the very restricted capacity and the almost none existing resources, the club got a remarkable reputation and people from all over the country went there to dance twice a month in an intimate atmosphere.

We try to get you some impressions of that atmosphere with the second live recorded mix from our series. Enjoy!
