"Meta[noia], an experimental electronic music duo based in Colombia, debuts with their first EP entitled "Hélix". This release is a profound exploration of the transformation of perception and mind, a sonic journey that challenges the listener's expectations and evokes a wide range of emotions.

Each track on "Hélix" is a self-contained narrative that transports the listener through dense and enveloping soundscapes. Meta[noia] fuses abstract rhythms with indigenous and modern elements, creating a unique atmosphere that invites introspection and discovery. Drox's debut solo 12” EP, "Hexameter." This EP features a high-energy remix by 16 Faces, adding a distinct clattering 160 bpm 808 beatdown to the collection.

“Hexameter” brings together a diverse range of sounds, from machine funk and intricate acid lines to engaging detroit-styled dystopian and alien-like synth scapes. Each track offers a unique auditory experience, inviting listeners to explore new otherworldly sonic territories.

Drox emphasizes rhythmic interplay throughout the EP, with a strong focus on groove. The use of rhythmic hexameters and their accents creates a series of tough, dancefloor-focused electronic groove tools.

I made a rather unexpected EP inspired when I tried out the Peripeteia demo by 90sGraphics.

The dark atmosphere in the game was a strong inspiration for this music.

I also created an illustrative album art, where I could try drawing Marie again (and I really enjoyed it). Overall, a small EP, but I'm very glad I did it.

Thanks again to 90sGraphics for permission to use Marie for the illustration on the album art.
