Brought from the dance floor to your listening ears, Equanimous presents his debut album, Merging Elements, via Gravitas Recordings. Merging Elements is a heart centered adventure whose inhabitant exists between bliss and bass. Through 11 artist collaborations that span over nine tracks, prepare to engage in an ecstatic, auditory journey full of rhythmic vibrations, beautiful melodies, and organic sounds. Each song has its own special process, and a special collaborative vibe consolidates to form the unified project that is Merging Elements.

“Arise” with Equanimous and Skysia while they prepare for a meditative voyage into the beautiful sunset. Equanimous and nok nok immediately encounter a series of rhythmic, vocal percussion in “Bumpin Bass Beatbox.” Equanimous recruits Auralponic for “Tahini Kiatsu” as dreamy keys meet an expressive, bassy spirit with a hint of glitch. AHEE is the next companion when the duo encounters an “Air Bender,” who greets them with cinematic instrumentals that alter between dreamy and high-powered. Hohm and Equanimous are soon escorted to meet the “Saviour,” travelling down a passage of soothing bells and oscillation. “Echoes” are rebounded as Equanimous and ZANDRO face a shadowy, unknown opponent of mysterious origins. Equanimous and Oliwa enlist ethereal singer Ruby Chase for a celestial sailing to the sky as she reminds them to keep their “Head Up High.” Equanimous and his alternate musical alias, Bliss Looper, experience euphoric “Dreamality” as angelic vocalist Cyndy Fike enters the stage. Equanimous & Geometrae - Merging Elements [This Song Is Sick Premiere]

Here is a beautiful new tune which came into being quite spontaneously like a flash of noetic lightning in the wake of some beautifully serene experiences in Seattle and the Cascade mountains.

It was a lot of fun and a real honor to feature vocal contributions from my friends Theo and Amma (Entheo - https://soundcloud.com/entheo), as well as Theo's guitar and a few percussive samples from my friend Jules O'Keefe.

I haven't given out a new free track in a while, and I think this is a breakthrough and a new direction for me, so I am going out on a limb and allowing this tune to spread how it may, in good faith that it will touch as many lives as possible.

Thousand Hands of God (feat. Entheo)

I could give you my background, but it wouldn't really tell you how it shaped me. I could show you photos, but you would just see my mask. I could tell you a story, but lyrical self expressions aren't my forte. You could ask my friends, but they'd give you their version of me. 

But if you were to just listen intently to some of the music I make, you'll hear my soul ripped intricately open for all to see....

David grew up surrounded by music (at least until he took his mother’s record player apart at the age of 6 to see how it worked). His favourite toys were those that made or recorded sound. One of his most loved being the Stylaphone, which he was given at the age of 4.
David began Djing at the age of 18, playing local events and clubs whenever the opportunity arose, often for free, solely for the enjoyment and satisfaction it gave him.

Whilst at University in Manchester, UK, David co formed and ran a successful club night for 3 years, playing to a loyal, continuously growing crowd every fortnight. Success in this arena lead to David securing many bookings at local clubs and events around the North West of England.

Through his love for Djing, David felt an increasing desire to create his own music, and explore the soundscapes that were building up in his mind.

The day that profoundly changed David’s life, and enabled him to realise his life long dream occurred by chance. A friend took him into the University music studio, briefly showed him how to turn the keyboards and equipment on, gave a ten minute lesson in the music production software on the computer, and left the room. 6 hours flew by, completely hooked, he had found the path he had been searching for since he was a child.

Ever since, every penny he shouldn’t have spent, every spare moment he has, goes on letting emotions flow through sound. 

David donates much of all royalties received from the sales of his music to good causes.
